    Why even bring up the "general blanket statement" when talking about ports then? Because it sounds like you are saying they have made it seem like they don't want ports.

    I think the Taco VCS thread is funny and I enjoy the Atari VCS discussion because it's funny, especially the Indiegogo comments. But when you use the same tactics about the Amico it's not as funny anymore.

    Therefore when people see literal footage from two games YouTube advertisements they get mad because it isn't exclusive since they are ports. If the blanket statement was either exclusive or exclusive content/features there wouldn't be people upset. But saying either all games are exclusive or have exclusive content/features is wordy and not great for a quick slideshow/video talking about the system, which is why IE doesn't I'm sure.

    I'm going to level with you because it's probably possible you don't follow all the interviews like some of us do. I can see where things may get confusing since all we have are interviews to go off really.

     

    The general blanket statement from Tommy is that all the games they make are exclusive for Amico, and when asked in multiple interviews about porting games, he said he wants them to have unique features.

     

    But he has never gone as far as saying "We will not accept ports" and I think even clearly stated with Castle Crashers that's just his ideal situation but he still wants the port no matter what and thinks it's perfect for Amico as is, more or less.

     

    I believe they have always had the idea that some mobile games are perfect for TV play/multiplayer that are trapped on phones with a crappy phone touch screen as a controller. So giving you the ability to play multiplayer on your TV with your friends/family not all glued to their phones is already an exclusive ability of the Amico to begin with. That's where I could see a lot of this going when it comes to mobile games that are single player experiences locked on tiny phone screens.

    Tommy said every game they make is exclusive to the Amico. He never once said other games are barred from the platform. He has said multiple times if he brings ports of other games he ideally wants them to have unique features. 

     

    You're creating a non-existent "problem" because that's what you guys do.

     

    You think you've arrived at a "Gotcha!" moment and you haven't.

     

    He deliberately put those in the trailer - he's aware of what he's said in the past, and what he's showing off. You're obviously not aware of how many times he's said they'll port other games if they're Amico appropriate.

    Why would you have an independent Amico discussion thread but then put Tommy Tallarico, the guy making it, on the "no post" list and cause him to constantly have to defend himself?

     

    Is this just going to become a Taco Amico thread in disguise? 

     

    Right now all it looks like is MrBeefy is bashing Emoji Charades because it's available on phones. 

     

     

    I have a good idea: Don't buy the game you don't want on the system. 

     

    If it has no games you want, don't buy the system

    It is an obsession. But not just about Amico. They're self-obsessed. Who honestly cares what people like? Only people who are obsessed with going after people who like things they don't like.

     

    They flaunt their own opinions and only care about their own "style," all the while attempting to attack anyone else's style that they have decided conflicts with their own. It's a classic hypocritical move in full display.

     

    And for the record - that guy wouldn't know what "delusions of grandeur" were if he studied them for 10 years.

     

    Nothing you post has "delusion," all your posts show are that you are wanting something you're building to succeed and wanting something with your name on it to do well. If that's "delusion" then that's something every human being on the planet has.

    Of course you would guess "Frozen"... OR... whatever the heck anyone called it in their language.

     

    The team leaders with the controls decides if the players/teams got it right on not (as they are the only one with the answers on their controllers).

    It really is a game for everyone than ANYONE can play.  You don't even need to pick up a controller!  Grandpa can just sit on the couch and yell out answers and look like a superstar to all his gaming grandkids.

    THIS is the type of stuff that we will be marketing and selling to the masses.  And we got a LOT of them that we haven't announced or shown.  :)

    This is the kind of thing that's really going to benefit from the touch screen! I just imagined the horror of having to cycle through an on screen list of emojis or symbols and using a control stick to navigate... VS.... Just picking one on the touch screen and tapping it.

     

    Lots of applications like this for party games! Especially with voice recognition potential.

    If the movie is titled Snow Queen in French, then you would pick pictures of Snow and Queens.

     

    If it's titled Frozen in America, you would pick pictures of ice cubes or cold things.

    Somehow, Amico has sold me on Skiing as one of the games I'm most looking forward to. If that gets even better by October... I'm totally sold on that game. Avalanches... Ice Patches... Collapsing snow bridges.... and the so far rumored legendary Yeti are going to keep this game in my most anticipated. Tons of great gameplay features already.

     

    Really great trailer! And for some of the above comments, as with all early gameplay footage, I'm sure the rough edges will be polished before long. Not sure on the AD&D style myself but whatever I can get I'll take at this point ! Never expected to see a remake of it to begin with.

Tommy said something cartoony like Clayfighter was a small possibility, and then when talking about a party fighter or 3D Arena fighter I believe Tommy mentioned something like Spy vs Spy coming to Amico.

    How is it right now in the Intellivision's Office ? Did most of the guy can work from home ?

    How is it for each development team right now ? Can the situation cause some delay at developing games ?

    As of today, we are still on track for a release (although limited numbers than we originally planned) on 10/10.

     

    But keep in mind that things are changing from week to week.  So noone knows yet (which is why Sony & Microsoft have gone silent over the matter).  I'm guessing that neither of them know their pricing and if they can get units out by Christmas.

    Yeah I assume they would have to severely limit the number of consoles they would produce as well. Since Amico was a smaller scale launch from the get go this may not be as big of an impact to you guys.

     

    It's probably the decision between launching and releasing to holiday shortages and unhappy unfulfilled customers, or just postponing release. I remember that first holiday for PS2 with chip shortages going on and how much scalpers were selling them for.

    Ever since @GrudgeQ rightfully brought up the ivory/elephant thing... it's been bugging me ever since.  So thank you for bringing it up.

    I was worried that the white isn't glossy anymore and when I think of glaciers they are glossy, icy, wet.  Me, our Mechanical Engineer (Slade) and our VP of Global Marketing (Cara) were going back and forth on e-mail at midnight last night.  Slade reminded me that the silver highlights and the fact that the white paint is a fine metallic would still give off a glacier kind of feeling.  Cara always liked the Glacier White name as well so we decided to keep it as is.

     

    So Glacier White it is!

    I think in vehicles ivory is a little bit more yellow and glacier is really bright white. There's an Ibis White Audi and a Glacier White Audi, and an older Ivory Porsche I like. Ultimately colors aren't going to show up perfectly to life on our monitors unless you have a professionally calibrated PVM or something.

    Yeah, cornhole used to be a fairly regional thing. I heard it a lot more when I moved south. I lived in Naperville, IL for most of my life. It was usually bean bags for us.
