What brand do you recommend?
Also, these chips are also in the 8-bit computers!

This whole post smells fishy!

Bridge is also the only game Activision released a fixed version. There was a bug in the way the computer made bids/plays and Activision fixed it and released it. The way to tell the fixed version is that the cart label picture is actuality a real screen shot, not a mock up like all the others!

There's a hack of the 7800 version that adds escape tunnels!
Maybe the 2600 version can be hacked.
-
Two things would have made the 5200 a success:
1) Better pack in game! Super Breakout vs. Donkey Kong??? Hard decision for the buyer? Not really. Galaxian would have been great!
2) Release new games BEFORE the 2600 version and that would push people towards the system and Atari could have retired the 2600/
Everybody puts Atari down for having more than one system on the market! REALLY???
Look at SONY, XBOX & Nintendo!

There's a hack of Sprintmaster that uses the driving controller!
Also Asteroids for turning the ship!
And Omega Race!

What about Dragster?

Heard there is more Star trek on the way!
Same Star Trek, new faces, same Star Trek, new faces, same Star Trek, new faces, same Star Trek, new faces!
-
If they could hack Space Invaders to this, it would play like the arcade version with the moon in the background!
Too much for the 2600, maybe the 7800.

Wasn't there bad hamburgers in Megamania?

I've got about 4 people who want me to come over and work on their jukebox. One is an old Rock-Ola 78 player!
Get on E-Bay and get some of that liquid bearings oil and oil everything BEFORE you start to work on it!
It displaces dried up oil that really makes things worse!

I was looking to get a certain Blu-Ray disc on Amazon and they only had one that was a region 4 disc that WON'T play in the US! But on E-Bay, there's a seller IN THE US that has the US VERSION and has about 5 or more for sale! Amazons head is beginning to swell! Can't get by on just your business name, you have to keep doing things right! Happened to Atari!

Love the artwork!

You're right about the late James Horners music. If you close your eyes at the opening credits, you hear the "whole" movie right there!
-
Also, how come the planet that exploded that Kahn noted to Chekov wasn't discovered BEFORE they went into that system! The computers would have seen a change from previous visits!

Our mall used to have a nice arcade years ago, but they raised the rent on them 6 times! So they shut down.
Now the space is DONATED to the local library to use! Smart business people they're NOT!

What about Superman?

In my Tempest cabinet I put in a computer with Typhoon 2001, Tempest update of the Jaguar version, a 24" LCD monitor, mounted horizontally, (just fit!), 2) 3-way 6x9 tri-axial speakers, and adapter to use the original spinner!
Now all that is left is to drill one more button hole for the "jump" option!
I used a doorbell button too to turn the pc on/off mounted on the back wall inside behind the coin door, about where the volume control is.

Just got the X-Arcade adapter for the Dreamcast. Arcade controllers! Can't wait to try it!

Vinyl "obsolete"? Don't think so...a lot of new stuff out there on vinyl...Adele "21" comes to mind, unless you're referring to stuff that was never put on cd.

...it would be cool if this could be hacked to provide true Trak-Ball support where rolling the Trak-Ball at different speeds would translate to the player on screen!

Hi,
Thanks for the review! I learned to play backgammon on the VCS! Nukey Shay even did a hack for me that make the computer pieces move faster. I like the set-up option and set the board to play Nackgammon, where two of each players pieces are relocated to the opposing 23 point! I picked up an eight player version of backgammon on E-Bay awhile back, I'll have to post a pick of it. One last thing, Craig Nelson was the programmer for this game, and it was the only one he did for Atari, but he went on to greater fame, he started Starpath, the company that built the SuperCharger for the 2600! I always thought it would be better if the label had actual screenshots!
Like this fixed version of Bridge!
