  1. I have several heavy sixers. I have one of them that has the channel hole in the case but there is no switch built onto the board. I just assumed this to be when Atari was transitioning hardware and changed the case before the boards were complete. However, does anyone know if this was by design or if this could be a sign of the unit being repaired. All of the internals of this unit have early 1977 date codes on the board and RF unit. I also see on the serial number database list in the forums that this does not appear to be that uncommon.... Why... Seems odd. Anyone out there have the reasoning for this or first hand knowledge? From all the build dates this seems right. Not sure if this is from factory or possible repair. Bought this one off eBay so there is no past data.
