  1. That would be amazing! I'll PM them and ask!
  2. @HunterZero Thanks for this highly informative answer. This is great help! I will be ordering an axial cap set from console5. They also have the regulators and transistors, so I'll make sure to get those as well. Probably good to have everything ready in case. Impatience/boredom caught me the other day, and desoldered the 4Mhz oscillator and threw it away... Very stupid thing to do! Learnt my lesson (I hope!) The biggest issue right now is that the 5 pin ribbon cable from the power board split open, and the innards just pulverized! I've ordered some molex parts that I hope will take care of that. I found this thread, and will try to do the same: I see this will probably take some time to repair. But I'll update here if I get this thing running or not. Thanks for all the help!
  3. Thanks for answering! I've managed to find a couple sites with repair manuals, but none with a PAL repair manual. Will the transistors and capacitors names match on an NTSC and a PAL machine? IF I had to replace the crystal, would that digikey part be a valid replacement?
  4. Hi! I am trying to repair my childhood Intellivision console, a PAL 3668 revision. It has been in storage for over 30 years, and I have not yet plugged it in and tested it. I want to inspect the board first, and see if there are any potential errors before running power through it. I have very little knowledge of electronics and soldering, so obviously I have some questions.. First, I found this component that seems to be leaking: I did a search, and this seems to be a 4.000 Crystal Oscillator. Does that mean a 4Mhz crystal like this would be a valid replacement? https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/ecs-inc/ECS-40-20-4X/827537 Here are photos of the board from the top and bottom: The underside has these brown splotches that look like leaks as well. Should I be concerned about these too? Should I also open the RF housing and inspect it? Any help would be most welcome!!
  5. Hi! Great job converting the Bruce Lee image. I did the original C64 loader, in case you didn't know A small suggestion, maybe you could try using the same colour in the eyes as the highlight colour? It would be a nice way to break the monochromacity (if that's a word). Not sure about the limitations on the A8 though, so that might not be possible Also, the bit I've painted green is supposed to be all black in your conversion. Rune
  6. Exciting seeing all these different conversions. Just wanted to mention there's a black line that seems to have crept into this conversion - going from the tip of the last E in LEE and going to his neck.
  7. I'm the one who did the original intro screen! I'm perfectly fine with you doing a conversion, and very happy for the loader image to be a part of the conversion
  8. Not sure what you mean by that. Joe is just using an uncommon dithering technique in the C64 bitmap mode. If you open up this site, and select "Fire (2011) by Joe" in the image drop-down menu you can take a closer look at the image. https://www.colodore.com/
  9. I always adjusted my Commodore monitor to compensate for the C64's somewhat earthy tones. If you boost the contrast and saturation just a bit on the Commodore 1084s, the C64 will look pretty incredible
  10. Hi everyone, I'm just dropping by to say hello. I'm the guy doing the intro image. I love how the game is shaping up, and I'm super-proud to be a part of it. Cheers!
  11. If anyone would like to make an old Zak fan happy, I'd love to own a copy of the game! It was the first adventure I played, and has a very special place in my heart. Didn't get much of the jokes though, since I was only 12 at the time :)
  12. Hi, I am looking for any of these games in nice, complete condition, preferably for the C64, but the Amiga will also do. I was a big fan of these games as a kid, but the prices on eBay are just crazy... Hoping someone here have a copy they don't need any longer Cheers!
