I'll take them too.

Thanks for your opinion, but I've tried them both out and I prefer the original GBA and afterburner. As for the battery pack, I'll probably get NiMh batteries anyway, I just want the freedom to use alkalines if I need to.

I just found out that I will be doing a great deal of traveling in the next 1-2 months. I'm looking to trade for an original GBA with the afterburner modification (including the dimmer). I'm not interested in the SP due to the hinge and the proprietary battery pack. If you have one in good shape (no major scratches) then PM me immediately. I can probably make a trade worth your while. Box and packaging are not required, but would be a nice plus. I'll also take any color, although my preference would be the clear/glacier.

I've got a copy of Raiden for the Lynx, in perfect condition. These sell for $40 through both songbird or telegames without shipping. I'll take $40 shipped (US only), Postal Money order only. I would consider trading for a copy of Championship Rally. PM if interested.

2600 with A/V 5200 4 port - external bypass to allow a real switch box, also with a custom digital joystick interface 130XE with an internal SIO2PC Jaguar with BJL ROM and I think I'm missing at least one other. Modding my own systems is what I enjoy most about the hobby.

I'm on the fence about buying one now or waiting for the higher capacity one. Has anybody who has one managed to get Bounty Bob Strikes Back to work? If so I'll order one tonight, and leave it dedicated to this game. Then I'll get another when the higher capacity is released. I have an SIO2PC set up now, which I don't mind loading games through, I just have never had any luck with BBSB. -
Good score on the nomad. I just scored one this week myself, from a member on another board as I got tired of playing the ebay game. I'm having a blast with it. Has anybody actually sat down and figured out which games look the best on one of these. I'm finding some games play great, but due to text size, character size, or speed make it difficult to play on the tiny screen.

I've made a few individual bankswitched carts, just never thought about making a multi with them. I think I might have found a new project if I ever find the time.

Nice. I got bored and made something similiar a while back, only my labels aren't as good as yours. If anyone is interested I would consider trading it or making another if the right offer came my way. PM if interested.

I love that quote. I run around the house yelling that everytime the book arrives. Sadly my wife just doesn't understand.

I have a copy of Raiden available for trade. I'm looking to do a straight trade for a copy of Championship Rally. Let me know if you (or anyone else on the board) is interested.

I'll have to watch the auction. I was hoping the articles were available online somewhere so I wouldn't need to go through the extra effort (or expense). I'm more curious from a concept perspective, rather than using the articles as a true blue print. Although devices going obsolete is a very common thing, and I deal with updating designs to more modern components quite often, so I don't think this is a true obstacle either. If you still have microfilm print and it can be scanned, I would appreciate it. Otherwise surely some diehard collector has them. I'm sure the Al's would love to post the scans on line as well.

http://www.atariage.com/2600/faq/index.htm...ID=2600#gamerec For a number of years I've attempted to locate copies of the applicable Radio Electronic issues. Does anybody have scans? Has anyone actually seen a working model of the Game Recorder? Dec 84 vol 55 no 12 p. 69-72. Jan 85 vol 56 no 1 p. 51-58. Feb 85 vol 56 no 2 p. 69-72.

I'd like to get started playing around with BLL, which is better to get for the downloader: SIMIS or Championship Rally. The cost difference at Songbird seems negligible, so I'm leaning towards Championship Rally since I can see myself actually playing that one. Is there anything else I should know before I decide to buy? Any other advice for a BLL newbie, I've already been reading through Bastian's site.

Tonight I finally got around to modifiying my Jaguar with the BJL Rom. What games or demos should I be looking at to play around with it?

No matter how careful I thought I was it turned out I had a wiring problem. That's now behind me and this thing works great. I can't wait to use it to start showing friends my own graphics hacks. Next week I'm going to begin coding of my first original game. I can't wait.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try and get some clean 2732's this weekend and try it out. I may try replacing the original masked ROM in the meantime. My main motivation for moving to EEPROMs was availability. I was able to order samples from various companies and had them sent to work. Plus I do own an eprom burner, but I don't have a U/V eraser so I didn't want to deal with erasing the ICs. EEPROMs seemed to be the easiest way around this. Eventually I do plan to make a version of the cart that can be upgraded on the fly, however I need to walk before I can run.

I’ve been working on flash (eeprom) multicart for the 2600. I’m using a 256k eeprom, the higher order address leads A12-A14 go to a dip switch and the overall design is very similar to the one on Bob Colbert’s page. I’ve inverted the ~CE through an ’04, tied the ~OE low. I’ve made necessary changes to the design to account for a few different pin allocations and have tied the WE enable high so when in the socket it’s permanently in read mode. I’m sure the HW is correct, in fact I’ve made two different carts: one is a lot cleaner than the other. I think my problem is lies in the actual programming of the eeprom. I’ve tried programming both 2k and 4k roms. I place a different copy of the rom image into each address starting at $0000, and then continuing to $1000, $2000, …. Do I need to pad or massage the .bin image any to get it working on actual HW. Depending upon the rom image I sometimes get a black screen, sometimes I get an image what appears to be a smashed playfield, that is otherwise un-playable and un-recognizable. Anyone have experience with this, or else have a suggestion? Right now I’m stumped.
-
Thanks, but I doubt that is it. From my programmer I already filled in the remaining 2k with a copy by cutting and pasting. The problem occurs with both 2k and 4k images, and actually the 4k images are what I've been playing around with mostly. When I have some 4k banks empty and some with images, the blank banks cause the system to act like no cart is present (as expected), but banks with images (as described earlier) cause the system to do "something", just not what I expect.

I am looking to sell or trade my entire Intellivision collection, which doesn’t get much play around the house. The collection includes both an INTV I console and an INTV III console. I last checked a few months back and they both worked, I’ll verify once more before shipment. The games are as follows: In Boxes: AD&D, Armor Battle, Astrosmash, Atlantis, B-17 Bomber, Beauty and the Beast, Boxing, Burgertime, Frog Bog, Happy Trails, Horse Racing, Ladybug, Lock N Chase, Masters of the Universe, Math Fun - The Electric Company, MLB Baseball, NBA Basketball, NFL Football, PGA Golf, Pitfall (sealed), Tron Maze-a-Tron, Utopia, Space Hawk (2 copies). Loose: AD&D: Treaure of Tarmin, Alpine Skiing, Auto Racing, Beauty and the Beast, Boxing, Carnival, Chess, Dragonfire, Horse Racing, Las Vegas Poker and Blackjack, Las Vegas Roulette, Lock N Chase, Microsurgeon, NASL Soccer, NBA Basketball, NFL Football, NHL Hockey, PBA Bowling, PGA Golf, Reversi, Safecracker, Sea Battle, Shark Shark, Sharp Shot, Space Armada, Space Battle, Space Spartans, Star Strike, Tennis, Utopia, Venture. All told you will get 55 cartridges with only 9 of them as doubles, which means you have 46 unique titles. Not all have overlays or instructions, but a good number of them do. If your interested we can talk specifics and I can comment on the condition of specific items too. I also have an aquarius computer, with mini-expander, 2 controllers, and SNAFU complete and in the box, which I'd be willing to let go of in someone is interested. This is a perfect collection if you are just getting started. If you are in the NJ area you can stop by in person to check everything out and save on shipping. I’ll entertain offers of trades, or cash. I am mainly looking for NES cartidges, a TG-16 portable, TG-16 hue cards, or Atari 8-bit carts at this time. I’d also entertain offers of JAMMA arcade boards, or a complete cabinet. (Mainly geared towards the NJ people) This will be a HEAVY package so you would be responsible for all the shipping, unless you picked it up or we worked out a fairly even trade (weight-wise). I’d prefer not to break anything out, but if I get a good offer on something specific I might just do that. You can email me directly at [email protected] or else post your email here and I’ll get in touch with you. If you are emailing make an offer, don't ask me for a price or I would have posted one.

Try Collector's House down in Howell: http://www.collectorscardsandgames.com They are reasonably priced and easy to deal with. You also have video game connections right up the road from them. These 2 places should be able to help you. I've got an extra kaboom I think, should you strike out at the above places.

Back in the early summer, I managed to aquire a pair of home made pong systems. One is pong and one is tank. Both have seen better days and need some rework. I also got the guy to scan his documentation so when I have time I have no doubt I'll be able to get the units to fire up. My plan is to take an old watchman TV, and make a portable pong system. - Similiar to a 2600CE. I haven't decided if I want to use the GI AY-8500 series chips or attempt to build one from scratch using all discretes. (The plans were widely available in electronic magazines in the late 70's.) The GI chip will have the advantage of a smaller size, but I kind of like the idea of leaving the guys homebrews they way they are. I could always open some spare units I have, pull the chip and redesign a smaller board. I'll let you know the progress when I finally get around to it.
