Floated off the screen on a turtle and came back floating on nothing... also game went to blue then green (1st level, then 2nd level). At least it wasn’t that far in 🙄

Came across this comparison video between the 7800 and NES versions. The 7800 doesn't quite measure up...
Not too shabby tho! I mean, compared to all the other versions I've seen. Graphics aside, it's all about how it plays. I mean, we can all agree the 2600 version looks fantastic, but how does it play? 🤣🤣

I feel like that's why I usually stayed away from it! But I'm glad to say now that I've spent more time with the NES version, I love it!

I like in the Colecovision version of stage 4, when you unlock Donkey Kong's cage, he breaks free of the chains. It's a nice touch. And the birds look like pterodactyls. NES version all the way tho.

Lol, I don't have that one! I should check it out on emulation tho...

Ok everyone, I'm not messin' around. No more Mr. Nice Jr... I'm comin' for ya Tempest. Oh, and you guys are right about level 5, woof. Level 5-1 and I was already backtracking on the righthand vines b/c the mess of snapjaws was gettin' ridiculous. Then of course the springboard jump on 5-2...
149,800 Level 5-2
I think maybe I had a bit of luck b/c before this game, I played a round of DKJr for the 2600 (oh boy) and on Colecovision (so much better, but has its own problems). I then switched over to the NES and my hands were so confused at first. Then muscle memory kicked in.

I'll keep an eye out for issues. I like how the instructions of the period always mentioned pressing reset if there are glitches. You would never find a manual nowadays admitting that their games might glitch.

How hard would it have been to keep a little number level counter in the corner parker bros??

Nice! Were you able to keep track of which level that was?

Sunava! Nice job! Havin' myself a Frogger afternoon. Played some Colecovision, Intellivision, and 2600 renditions. I like the CV the best. The INTV one is lots of fun, but Frogger moves too slow compared to the others. I do like the fly animation tho and the logs are longer and easier to cross over to I feel.

I noticed this on the Frogger page on INTV Funhouse (http://www.intvfunhouse.com/games/frgr.php)
"Frogger seems like a decent game. The music could be better, though. Gameplay is good, and the graphics are decent. Since I never played the arcade original, I can't say how good an adaptation is."
Never played the arcade original?!?

So Frogger was just announced over at the Intellivision HSC, so to celebrate our combo Frogger weeks...
I might just bust out my 2600 copy and see how I stack up

Here's to holding the current high!
I always liked how the alligators were logs with heads 😂 And the otters that are like alien chestbursters
It's a shame tho that the music stops when you move and you don't want to run the clock down listening to the sweet tunes. Luckily, you get a nice uninterrupted rendition when you beat a level. I keep forgetting what screen I got to tho, I wanna say 3?

Some good scoring info here. I like the game variations and how they differ from the CV version. Also interesting to note, you get an extra frogger every 20k if you have fewer than 4; on CV, it's every 10k and there's no limit that I know of.

That's a lot of runs in Baseball! In real life and NES! I want to do better at that game, it's just so painful to get through. Nice job!
I saw the same scores the other night from your HSC database (nice job with that btw!) I agree, those guys were insane. I don't know if I'll get below par, but I'd like to beat the title screen, which I'm tied with atm. I have a lot of fun with it, but since it's so long, there's a lot of opportunities to screw everything up at the end. So long as it stays fun for me and not frustrating, I'm game.
As a personal challenge, I can see myself continuing with Golf after this season. I've been using that FAQ for guidance, but I need to make notes for adjustments that I've been making. I'm not into golf enough to check out other games, just yet, so my NES patience level is high for it, lol. Baseball...not so much.
