For a d-pad like on the ps3, do you have success pressing two buttons at once to register as "in between"? I don't know how much better I'd actually be using an Intv controller, but at least then I'd feel like I'm playing the way it was meant to, haha.

I use the d-pad, but seeing as how the manual mentions "gradual" and "hard" turns, I don't think it's translating properly 😕

Managed to shave a few seconds off. Still can't beat track 3. Don't want to "blame the controller", but emulating Intellivision and using a PS3 controller just doesn't compare to original hardware. This is one of those games that I think really doesn't translate. To stay humble, I probably wouldn't be too great if I did own the cart 🤐

Thoughts on Golf- it says a lot about Nintendo's impression of their difficulty level when the the default high on the title screen is +28...
Gave it another shot using the club table in the manual as reference, and increased my initial playthrough score from +92 to +56. I then followed the only guide on gamefaqs (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/nes/578275-golf/faqs/15591) as my personal caddy to recommend a club. It doesn't guarantee a great play, but it did have me hovering around -1 to +2 for the first couple of holes. Towards the end...not so much. Next games were +43, +41, +42, so score one for consistency.
My hat's off to anyone who scores under par for those bonus points. Till then, just lookin' to beat Tempest's +18 haha. Even tho it's harder to score bonus points for, Golf is a hell of a lot more fun than Soccer and Baseball!

Yeah that mute button is annoying. On emu, it seems to work sometimes. I just end up muting my computer honestly.

So much more time for Froggy! And I'll check out the TG-16 J!

I'll be keeping that manual handy when I play next. It has a nice table in the back that goes over yardage for each club. BTW, anyone know how handicaps work in the game? There's a table for that as well. I know very little about golf...I was actually just googling different terms that they use in the instructions, lol.

Slight improvement. I think my favorite level portions go 4, 3, 1, 2. That's just in general, haven't gotten far enough to change it so far.

Oh, and I gave Golf a shot. First time playing through an entire game, as I've mostly ignored it before. Tempest, I hope you're not bragging with your +18, b/c I got +92! We're doing a HIGH score club right? Not an official submission b/c I will definitely be playing again. It's cool to see how much Wii Sports Golf took from NES Golf. Now that's a golf game I've sunk some time into.

I take back my crack about the overlay, it's actually a help, ha. Mapping to a playstation controller is nice, so long as I remember which button is which. It's funny that they have an option to turn off the sound, I guess the programmers weren't a fan either.

I've always steered clear of dk jr b/c I've always found it to be crazy hard (and I can't stand how you die when you fall just a teeny bit). But after giving it some more attention here, I'm enjoying it more than I thought and I'm excited to break my current high...unlike Mach Rider, where I felt I was lucky.

Have this one on Colecovision, looking forward to checking out the Intellivision version. Here's the manual if anyone's interested, maybe we'll find some good info within.
Probably more at least than the overlay, haha

I was considering Campaign '84, but figured it irresponsible since the goal is to shake people's hands, and well, given our current times...
Instead, let's help Frogger here self-quarantine and keep a clean 6ft from the other frogs (except for the lady frog of course). And why are there so many cars on the road? Stay home everyone!

The only manual I found was in Japanese; I think maybe it was only released there. Well, for TG-16 at least.
