  1. Man this game is so wonky, not surprised I didn't pay it much attention in the past. Now tho (having read the manual!) I'm having fun with it. Finishing a stage is satisfying, same with running an urchin into the wall. Here's my current high score! 18,980
  2. I think this was one of my early games that got me to hate video game bats. Duck Tales with bees for sure.
  3. New high score! 140,400. Ready for a great screenshot... It's the room with all the laser gates. I didn't have a torch...
  4. I've been having a lot of fun returning to this game for a serious high score. I mapped out the first level, which is something I'm surprised I didn't do as a kid. My current high score is 91,450. But it kind of looks like 81,450 and I'm starting to second guess myself. I took a pic outside the treasure chamber and one afterwards at the start of level 2. I only gained 2 more lives from those points, meaning 1 for hitting 70k and one at 80k. Moderator's choice on this, and I'll try to get a shot comparing the 8 to a 9. Anyway, I had to stop there bc I was leaving for the day, but for future scores- would the high score continue into future levels or are we competing for just level 1 score? I figure it's until we get a game over, wherever that is, but for fair competition I want to make sure I have the rules right.
  5. I'm guessing our high score has to be when we get our first game over, right? Because it allows you to continue once after that with a reset score.
  6. I've always enjoyed this game. Anyone else end up accidentally going down when you mean to go right? Probably the 8-way d-pad, not me of course lol. Workin' on a personal best to submit!
  7. Oh, and there was also a Magnavox switch box thrown in for good measure. Score!
  8. This was the first retronauts podcast I listened to (very fun and informative btw) and the very next day I found a Studio II at a Goodwill. I posted about that in the thrift store thread. It was a very happy coincidence and I’ve been enjoying the oddity of the system all weekend. Thanks for the good listen!
  9. $40 @Goodwill. Luckily it had its infamous switch box. One of the twin leads was frayed, but it still works great and looks pixel perfect on my classic Zenith I guessed a number.
