  1. Love Monk... I, on the other hand, was annoyed I couldn't get even 1 fish on my last 5 lives, to *not* have that exact score. 🙂
  2. Just to clarify, this is what you took for trash talk from me?
  3. Chill. I'm the new guy as well. That wasn't trash talk, that was attempting to empathize with someone else trying to race the insanity that is the blue car. I consistently mention it takes me hundreds of attempts to get a clean run with blue. Trash talk would be saying I could do it in only 3-4 runs or something.
  4. Completely fine to be competitive, it's a competition. 🙂 I haven't been here much longer than you, but I've appreciated that everyone is happy for each other when they do well. It's fine to self-congratulate when you kick ass, but best to let the scores speak for themselves than claim to be unbeatable. The latter implies everyone shouldn't bother trying and that's pretty much the opposite of the spirit of inclusion we're hoping for.
  5. That would have probably been a better direction to go.... 🙂 Yes, you're awesome at this and I would never assume you or anyone else is incapable of doing better than me on this or any other game. That's the whole fun of competition thing. My goal this time around was just to beat the record on both tracks, so if I get lucky enough to do that, then awesome. If I do and someone does better, that's even more awesome!
  6. Confused.... Why say it's impossible to beat you on tracks 2-5 then, instead of just having fun like the rest of us?
  7. Still not getting the time I'm looking for, but I'll take it for now... 🙂 5:51 - course 2, blue car
  8. I'm happy with whoever wins, it's fun just to have good folks to compete against. 🙂
  9. With the blue car, a wreck isn't the worst thing, I usually rank a wreck around 2 FUPs due to the need to accelerate, but it's not much worse than a complete wash out in a corner. The real frustration of the blue car comes once you have a clean lap and see the true potential if you could just run clean...
  10. Awesome time! You've definitely got the blue car down! The real question is how many attempts it took to get that. If it were me, I'd estimate around 100-150 aborted runs for one decent one 🙂
  11. Hey, that's a mighty respectful time for tan if you're not used to driving it! 26 seconds isn't much to shave off, another 300+ attempts and you'll be there! 🙂
  12. Figured I might as well try track 2 before I get feeling better... 5:54 - track 2, blue car
  13. Thanks!! Still running a mild fever, but both COVID tests negative, so we'll call that a good day. I was hoping I had a decent lap, since I only had only counted 2 FUPs on that run and had 4 FUPs on my 3:06. I think sub 3:00 is just barely possible in blue, but honestly, who would want to try? 🙂
  14. Proof that you must be truly sick in the head to drive the blue car... 3:01 - track 1
  15. Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here? LOL, no relation. Maybe a little MadDog in me... Rapid test came back negative for COVID, so now waiting 2-3 days for another test to confirm COVID or not. Another possibility is West Nile. What a world we're in where West Nile is the 'good' outcome. Anyway, I'll rest up and still get my blue car time in eventually, just too dizzy to drive at the moment. 🙂
  16. BiffMan just managed to get himself sick, so may be a few days longer until I can properly crush all who oppose me.
  17. That's my hope. Not really going to be satisfied until I can go faster in the blue car than the red car. Originally my measure of success was setting new records on both tracks, but reality took a big bite out of that dream... Kinda frustrating to know you're capable of something and not be able to do it again....
  18. I don't enjoy that much repetition either, but I do feel the need for another "clean run" so we'll see. Problem is I probably get clean on lap one like 1 time in 20, so getting all 5 laps clean is frequently an exercise in frustration. But hey, plenty of time left to go. 🙂
  19. Normally I'm a big fan of Jalopnik, but that's just simply off the mark. The fact that traction and acceleration are modeled at all puts it well ahead of anything that would come for many years. Hell, even now I notice that the old racing axiom of "go slow to go fast" applies to this, particularly in the blue car...
