Nice! I find it fun once you can get as good or better with blue than you can with red, it's just maddening trying to put 5 laps together. 2 is usually as long as I can go without a brain fart.

Awesome times! I Fantastic times! If you hit 6:05 with a wreck, you can probably get under 6 minutes with red. I know 1980gamer was able to hit 5:50 on track 2 in the read car, so that's probably the perfect lap target since he was also able to do 3:11 on track 1 which is 1 second better than I can do with red on it with what I consider a completely clean run.

Nicely done, that's a really good time with the red car! Blue car is great fun, but an exercise in focus and patience. I find I only have a 20-ish minute window where I'm sufficiently zoned in before I zone out.

Yeah, I don't think you can crank out 380k in the game and not claim to be good at it. 🙂 Congrats!!

Definitely a frightening prospect if these aren't the games you're good at.... LOL. As to the selection of games, I believe Jacob said he had them all mapped out ahead of time, so no worries about influencing this season, but certainly don't be shy about calling out any games you'd like to see included in future seasons if they don't turn up for this one!

Indeed! Whenever a game ends, it's a house rule that if it's the "best" music (the one that accelerates) then we have to let it finish before starting a new game. 🙂

As it was my first video game system, it's the controller I measure all others against and I still think the disc is the best option out there for hand controllers. A d-pad is essentially a limited directional disc after all... 🙂

The cool thing is that the controller can be held in so many different ways. My sister used to cradle it in her right hand, index and middle finger wrapped around for fire buttons, and would use the tip of her left index finger on the disk. I shit you not. Normal controllers don't give you that... ahead of its time! 🙂

I'm a righty, but also hold the controller exactly as you described. Definitely cool that it doesn't force you to use your left hand to control if you wanted to reverse grip. Another win for the Amico, all of the main systems are thoroughly stuck on left hand thumbstick for primary control.

I trust these folks for honor system, I'd be fine with that. Could be the same as having 2 tracks in Auto Racing, just have timed/untimed and award points for each. Timed Astrosmash is such a rush!
