  1. Love the detail right down to the lanyard. You win the internet today!
  2. Yep, I died at 200pts yesterday because I got double tagged and couldn't move anywhere in time to avoid the 3rd.
  3. You start out with 3 hits to kill you, and slow down with each. At 20k and 100k points each, you get another hit to a max of 5. The bulldogs and guards also slow down when you put hits on them, but everyone else is either full speed or de-rezzed.
  4. Think you may have missed the cutoff by a couple of years there... 🙂
  5. I get that, and they're going to both be excellent, but those specific teasers are not the way to generate interest.
  6. I am a huuuuuuge fan of all things Amico, but... Just me or were the Cornhole and Farkle teasers really lame? Half the time in Cornhole spent panning around a really low-res map, and one single toss of the dice on Farkle while showing FPS capped at less than 30. Oh well. Still excited and can't wait to play both, just had hoped for more from the teasers.
  7. I like the way the fireballs come slinging off that spiral when you hit the center first.
  8. Thanks for sharing! Looks awesome! Definitely going to be a crowd pleaser for my peeps!
  9. Unless that blob in front of the cabin is the Yeti, then no.
  10. Ah, thanks! Must be unlisted on their YouTube while Tommy prepares his "First!" comment. 🙂
  11. Nice! Doesn't really take much for your scores to grow quickly at that point. Just a couple rounds away from 100k, and from there, you get 10k per kill, 50k per fast round clear, and 100k per recognizer!
  12. What's the trick to finding the videos as they drop on IE's channel? I'm not seeing the skiing one there.
  13. Main thing is take your time. Make them miss (don't stand in one of the 8 directions from them, unless trying to block) then close in for short range shot while their disk is returning.
  14. It's definitely not proportionate with the way score scales, so being able to survive those first rounds under 20k points is key. 100k and above is the sweet spot where you're harder to kill and points are plentiful.
  15. Same sound in the hit, yes, but also love that short-circuit buzzing noise the recognizer makes as it goes off screen. For me, two of the more memorable sound effects across all the games. Aside from maybe the dragon roar when it pounces you in Cloudy Mountain... That still freaks me out. 🙂
  16. Agreed, that's always best. Most of my early deaths come from being cocky and rushing a dude who still has his disk. As an aside, isnt the sound of a dying recognizer the best thing ever? 😁
  17. I prefer one controller because it makes me more deliberate and tactical in my play, seems to help with focus. Getting good scores isn't about running and gunning, it's about being smart, blocking disks or waiting till an enemy's disk is way across the map. Besides, thematically I always like to imagine that slight pause before throwing is my character setting his feet to make a throw. Very cinematic. 🙂
  18. That is a damn fine offer, good sir! You win the internet for today. 🙂
  19. DO IT!!! DO IT NOW!!!! Ahem. 🙂 It's a really excellent game that shows off use of the controller as well as AD&D does (disc to move, keypad to shoot)
  20. Nostalgia also supports diagonal controls. I've never been able to figure out how to configure Jzintv. Or rather couldn't be bothered to spend the time to figure it out. 🙂
  21. Even if you're exactly online, you still have to get lucky because that little "bar" on the side of its eye area will move up and down and randomly block you. There are two landmarks to use for the "high" and "low" positions relative to your character, have you figured the positioning out? I know others can hit diagonals, but I've always gone with the side hits since I can position more consistently there.
