  1. I really did think that if you kept them around you would have had like 20 or 30 of these arcade sticks across all the various platforms which you have posted about making for yourself over time. Would be cool to see them all set up on one of those huge shelves.
  2. Watch yourself there old friend, I don't share well.
  3. It would be nice if this had TIA sound as that would make cartridges much more plentiful and cost effective. You add a POKEY and (as you know) the price goes way up and ease of distribution to the masses to play on actual 7800 machines goes way down. Perhaps a TIA version and then a POKEY version so folks could pick their pleasure? Just a thought.
  4. The term "digital collectable" is an oxymoron.
  5. I don't understand why you have to get rid of them. You showed your set up and they are tucked away nicely in that desk with your 5200. Are you also getting rid of the set up you have it all on perhaps?
  6. Niles, This is a soft spot and a black eye on the forum when it comes to talk about the XM. Only a half dozen people ever got even a prototype XM machine out of the close to 200 people who paid for one a decade ago. Best to just leave this one alone as it's an ugly fiasco from start to finish. Just be happy you didn't have any skin on the line and move on to other interesting things in the Atari world. Cheers, Shawn
  7. That is an amazing amount of space you have there. Clearly you could house thousands if you felt like it. Yes I had you on ignore but I still see topics even with that in place and I wanted to chime in on this one. You stay well too!
  8. You must have a ton of these controllers made for yourself with all the ones you have posted about making for yourself. Any chance you have a pic with them all in it? I dunno how you could have enough room with all the controllers like this you have made for yourself that you have posted about. You would need a shelving unit at least.
  9. So what is the list of games people are having trouble with? I have 2 machines that are working well with the concerto so I'd like to try the ones that others have had issues with. I've not played a ton of different games with it so there is a good chance I might not have played any of the ones so far deemed problematic. I know someone mentioned BonQ which I don't think I tried yet but I want to know all of them so I can give them all a go and report back with any good or bad news in hopes of further ironing out any compatibility issues such information might help towards.
  10. It's the car crash you just can't look away from. You will be amused for sure but as you have already been warned, prepare for feeling the need to a shower after each viewing. When you reach the point that you are looking at the bleach for proper cleansing, that is when you need to stop watching for a while.
  11. You are correct BUT they still can leak. I had a friend 15 years ago ask me to look at his Zelda cart and the battery had expanded and leaked onto the PCB. No damage was done but it was still a shitty situation.
  12. FYI, Posting hacks of homebrews without the expressed consent of the author is considered foul play around here.
  13. Ya but you are still gonna need to replace the proprietary(ish) end.
  14. Hense why commons have so little value but $50 is $50 and it gets them out of your way.
  15. I agree. Myself I know that when I get a copy of any of those games it's not exactly on the up and up but don't care.
  16. The reason you have no interest here is because they are mostly all $2 and $3 commons so asking $8 each as a lot is not gonna happen. EDIT: If someone offered you $50 for the lot, take it.
  17. Wow, right back at it with your shit posting Ray? I hope this time it's enough you get booted.
  18. Glad you picked what you wanted to read from my post and chose to comment on just your personal favorite parts to fit your personal narrative curated in your response. Of course you couldn't take the entire post into account as a whole for proper context where I clearly said that I fully support the release of such games.
  19. I'm sorry to say this but it's a long way down that road as HOKEY isn't anywhere near completed nor will it be released in any timeframe that could be called "soon". I've spoke to Fred about this recently. Trust me, I want HOKEY to be a thing just as much as you do but we have to be realistic about this.
  20. Nobody is legally allowed to give out copies out of a game you do not own the rights to, even free of charge. That is not a loophole or being clever, it's being purposely ignorant and stupid. While I love the idea of everyone who wants to play a game being able to do so, there is no grey area about such piracy so it's silly to pretend otherwise. The MOTU property is really hot right now too. Probably the most active it's been for many years. Perhaps that is why it was sold in the first place as to strike while the iron is red hot. Please don't think for one second I don't want everyone and anyone interested to be able to get a copy of this game to play cause I'm an avid supporter of getting these kinda games to the people to play them.
  21. Can you share a picture of what the label side will look like please? EDIT: Using pegs instead of clips and\or a screw(s) is a bad idea. I share this as someone who has bought and sold thousands of homebrews and reproduction cartridges using all different flavors of shells. Before you invest in a mold please take into consideration the needs of the user base who would be interested in buying these from you. Another guy recently made a mold and he did so making changes to the original design that many of those who would have bought hundreds of new shells did not like and refuse to buy because of it. That is of course only if you intend on selling shells. If this is just for your own needs, have at it as you please
