  1. 3 minutes into Wonder Woman 1984 and I spot an anachronism in the arcade.

If you like the first one, don't expect anything close out of this second one. Half decent movie but a terrible ending, IMO.

  2. An Atari General forum? That's new.

You mean FDA approved rubber snacks and plastic meals? I have no clue. I stick to the canned soda and peanuts.

So true. AtariAge sure has changed over the years. The last couple more than others.

  6. I'm too cool for participation trophies...I was SMOKING CIGARETTES when they handed them out. 😎

  7. Has anyone tried that "emissions pass" additive? Gotta take my '85 CJ7 in this month and I'm too lazy to mess with the carb right now. (Though if that pass stuff breaks the law or something I'll get off my keister and do it)

Put some high test gas in it and burn it off on the highway. Should clean out any extra carbon that would be trouble on a test.

I tried my best making a footprint for a DB19 connector using dimensions I found online and my own measurements, based on a DB15 connector footprint.

That and I'm pretty sure commercial advertising was said to be unacceptable abuse of the status update feature, IIRC.

  10. Insurance called. They decided to total my car. :( Oh well, a real shame I had to go ahead and buy the Nissan 370Z I was looking at. Sad! :D

If they say it's toast but you still want it even with the payout, I'd try buying it back as scrap from whoever it would go to.

  11. USPS delivered my package earlier than expected for the first time in my life, and right when I didn't want that to happen. Let me explain; my apartment's automated Package Concierge system charges $5 a night if a package isn't retrieved. I'm 350 miles from home until this Sunday, and 2 packages have already arrived with 2 more due before Sunday. They were supposed to arrive in December!

From what I gather from your other postings, I'm sure mommy & daddy will pay this off for you like everything else with another "loan".

  16. My dad keeps saying he wants an arcade machine in his garage. Says it was his childhood dream to own an arcade machine. I really want an original 80s arcade machine but my dad wants one of those modern ones with hundreds of games built in. Obviously the latter would be a smarter choice but really, I don't see a point in getting an arcade machine if you're just going to play on a generic looking cabinet using a generic arcade controller. I'd like to play Centipede on a cabinet that has a trackball, not a joystick, thanks.

Yes,  I deleted my other replies as I figure no matter what is said you will continue the same bullshit until the administration bans you from doing so. Enjoy it while you can cause even the brass will get well enough sick of it sooner rather than later cause yes, taking 30 and 40 percent of the status page to yourself is bullshit. Just cause others have not used it doesn't mean it needs to be filled with your random and most times useless ramblings.

  19. I did some math. Let's say I'm lucky and I can sell 25 VIC-20 35k/SD2IEC cartridges. It will cost $200 or so to manufacture them if nothing goes wrong. I can sell them at a very reasonable price of $30 each(actually, it's   extremely reasonable since the SD2IEC alone goes for twice that.)

That means I will have a $22 profit for every cartridge sold, and a $550 profit in total.

Next, the Fast Load cartridge. I suppose it will cost around $100 to manufacture 25 of those. If I sell them for a reasonable price of $15, I'll make an $11 profit for each cartridge and a $275 profit in total.

The grand total of the money I will be able to make is $825 which is enough to get me a Commodore PET and a bunch of Zelda games that I want on top of that. I genuinely hope that will actually happen :)

If I sell the RAM/SD2IEC for $40, I can make over a thousand dollars. And adding an SD2IEC to the Fast Load will bring in more money. That is, if 24 people actually buy my stuff 😁

Best not put the cart before the horse. I don't see people buying these from you in this neck of the woods. You won't find these VIC-20 projects to be like printing money as you have described. The market isn't here for it. Perhaps if you find a VIC 20 group but that also means you will be in a group of people who already have others who have made or currently do make these available. People who are established and known to the group for such things. Make what you like for yourself for your own enjoyment.

  21. Does anyone know what to use for proof of value when payment was received through ebay managed payments?

The usps smashed one of my packages to bits and they claim the item receipt is insufficient proof of vallue.

  22. Many areas of the site outside of the forum are screwed up so much that you get a 404 error, even now. 😥

  23. Damn, Zelda games are expensive as hell.
