Hey, I see all the time people making a harness to hook up jamma boards to a normal TV and an external power brick. How would I go about doing this? I'm thinking about building a Mortal Kombat 1 machine but I want to keep costs as low as possible. I've seen different setups and faq's on the net but I figure best to ask here at AtariAge as folks here are top notch. I'm using my friends UMK3 machine to get all the dimensions for the cab itself but I wanna make sure I'm gonna be able to make this thing before I even start buying anything to build the machine or the cab. NTSC Mean 18 is the most rare 7800 game from my experience over the years. Tank Command has alot of popularity mixed in with it's rarity but as for bottom line avalibility issues, the king is Mean 18 NTSC (IMHO).

Depends on how much you value your own time. I imagine it took at least 2 hours from start to finish, add in the cost for materials and shipping from Canada. Thats damn near right on the clock. You would think you had done this before

Clear coat is something I might look into in the future and I have used gloss paper in the past but it's not very often I make boxes anymore, this is the first one I've done in about a year actually. Once in a while it's nice to make one but I'm sure not gonna make sport of it

I think sega droped pin 5 on some of there later cords. They also switched to that crappy threaded copper wire also instead of solid copper which was really cheap of them to do as that stuff breaks SOOOO easy.

Gotta watch a little closer ax, A nice one sold less than a month ago for $80 and another one went in a lot for $130 I think it was for the whole lot, 30 or so games, a system, couple of mid rares like rampage,ect. AND tank command. I kicked myself for not buying the lot but I was still debating with myself if I wanted a 7800 set or not at the time. EDIT: $200ish for a CIB one is a decent price I suppose, but I only want the cart. Can't play a box and manuals are for chumps
