I feel a little uncomforatable with this thread being that there are a few to many newbies with 0 joysticks posting in a forum that doesnt seem to make much sense.  Kinda reminds me of the Airworld post a few years back.  Hmmm maybe I'm just paranoid.

I have been excitedly waiting all Summer for August 23rd, and have been looking for FB2 everyday this week.

 

Are we not going to see this product in stores until October ??

 

Should I stop my daily hunt for it ?

How cool is it to get up on Saturday morning and play Atari?  I feel like a kid again.  All I need is some sugary cereal, and the time warp will be complete!  Awesome!

Play the HELL out of it.

 

If the FB2 you bought has the Quadrun sound issue, EXCHANGE it when the corrected versions hit stores. Any store will take an even exchange without a receipt if you just say that it doesn't work. No big deal: you can play the FB2 for a month or two, and then exchange it for the corrected version - that's what I'm going to do.

I'm just saying that once we get the 2.0 for a while (and play the HELL out of it), there will be something even better coming out to make the 2.0 obsolete. Just my gut feeling, is all....

 

Hell, I know I would buy the Flashback a THIRD time if such a device were released.

Does anyone else get the feeling that after we spend our $30, Atari will announce the forthcoming Flashback 2.5, with a cartridge slot and paddles, followed by the BIG announcement that Atari will then release cartridges, each with 5-6 "classic" "retro" games on them ?
