That is a very good question, and one I have wondered myself. Also for the Aquarius, too.

Yeah if i have a choice that's what I'd go for, too. But I'm generally happy if I get a CIB set of whatever version it is.

Ha, I set my alarm. I needed to get up around then anyway, and this was a good extra incentive. I didn't need to buy another $$$ item right now anyway.

Ok good. Glad it's not just me. That said, I still appreciate the novelty of it. And, I'd find limited use for it - I'm sure of it. I've got two small kids who would get a kick out of it. Printing "secret" messages and whatnot. Although, isn't the paper it uses full of BPA? But the other thing I'm interested in doing with it is writing a program on the Aquarius... a game of sorts... that does all kinds of things with the attached accessories. Imagine playing a simple text adventure when you trigger the printer to print out some interesting message that you can then use to progress further in the game?

Yes the Motorcross game is INTV. I didn't realize there was a Mattel version of that one...

What is the name of that tune? Is it just an adaptation from the musical score from the movie?

Boo. Only made to :49. Seems like he's bashing the port of the Atari 2600 version for being the same as the 2600 version. I bet later on he talks about how he hates the controller.

In hindsight I could have held out for some better conditioned or more complete items, but I’m pretty excited to try all these out. Never played any of them before.

Tron Solar Sailer is the USA variant. Pretty sure sure Mr. BASIC is Mattel.

Anyone have any idea what the intended use of this thing was? People supposed to be typing and printing their documents on this?

I don’t know why I find this so fascinating. My earliest online memories are of Prodigy and the “free” discs they’d always send in the mail.

Generally speaking, are these still functional? If so, what kind of font did it print?

Just incredible! Do you remember what color the screens were? For the multiple choice setup questions or the Star Trek message board?
