  1. Ice Trek is pretty rad, imo. Also, HSC friends, my situation has changed. I've got a full time remote gig now, and that's why I haven't been posting any scores for Skiing or Astrosmash. I'm working down in the basement. That said, while I was clearing a space for my desk, i found an old 13-inch (i think) tube TV. It's small, but I bet it makes the INTY look better than the 24-inch LCD I have it on in my son's room now... 🤔
  2. Be honest... 2725 is a pretty terrible score, right? I just noticed that BiffMan got over 10k in his run. I just got this game late last week and have never played it prior to that.
  3. These programmers were smart and dedicated. Not saying it isn't a glitch, just that scientific measurements could be taken to shed light
  4. Played a few games with my son last night on two-player simultaneous mode. We both cackled with glee when whoever was Dracula tried to come in for a bite!
  5. I agree, too, but sometimes it seems like the sky can stay pink for a good while... Makes me wonder if there isn't some other variable at play here...
  6. I love that skiing game. I was hitting it pretty hard late last winter.
  7. Moved those dang citrus fruits. They were a distraction. Not that I did much better, but almost beat a fourth naught
  8. Nice one! What do you think of this game? HSC was my first time playing it, and I like it.
  9. LoL no. My son put them there and won’t let me take them back down to the kitchen. He’s attached to having them in his room right there. 🤷 Gotta pick your battles.
  10. I've been playing the practice game for the last week, just to get nice and good before I post my first score. Muah ha ha. 😈 ...I'm not knocking any of you, but based on practice mode, this game seems like a push-over.
  11. Does River Raid have the best title screen of any pre-crash video game?
  12. I'm going to have to sit out River Raid. For some reason it's crazy $$$ on the auction site. I did, however, just nab a copy of Dracula. No box, but has manual and overlays. $26 shipped. Arrives Saturday. Besides, I still need to actually play Dreadnaught Factor.
  13. Oh no way. I've ridden my bike there from the Fairlawn area a few times. It was nice to do a lap around the lake and stop for a snack break.
  14. Yes! I get so ragefull when I get to dessert time and the damn bugs leave almost immediately. i like this game though, and now I have more appreciation for direction & tongue mode. Wouldn’t be opposed to this one again, especially to break up the more complex, demanding games
  15. Alright! Another contender! Welcome and let us know your favorite inty games - seems we do a pretty nice job of including player favorites when possible.
  16. I love Space Battle. I'm down with both those suggestion
  17. One thing I haven't figured out yet (only played maybe 3 or 4 practice rounds) is if you can defeat a dreadnaught without blowing up your ship. Instructions say if you bomb all the vents, you'll destroy it - but along with your ship. Is that just how it is? Or is there another way to take these down where you don't also die in the process?
  18. While people could submit level one scores in a level four competition, my concern is that it will quickly become apparent that it's a futile endeavor. Can you imagine what the spread would look like if we told people they could play on practice mode against people who are playing on level 7? Why not give people who are only comfortable on practice mode a level playing field to enjoy the competition against others of a similar skill level playing on the same mode? EDIT: I feel like I've said my piece. I encourage anyone to disagree, but I can hear myself talking in circles now. It might just be that I don't understand the subtle distinction mr_me is making. For now, I'll gladly try any game on any mode - so long as it's an apples-to-apples competition.
  19. I agree, plus, I really think this option accomplishes what mr_me would like to see. Level 7 is basically an infinite game at the hardest difficulty setting. That's the best way to really see what players can do.
