By the time the next competition starts,I will be 58.

Am i the oldest player here?

Also wanted to say: Wow! That was incredibly close for 1st and 2nd,great job to you two guys, and winning 4 individual games each.

I am just along for the ride!😄

37 here. Born in 82. As soon as I was able to hold the controller, I started playing Intellivision. Probably around 1987 or so.

Taken out by an invisible armada. I don't know how you guys do it, especially on original hardware. I can only play this with my ps3 controller. It's those side buttons, ouch. Would be a good game to use an atari joystick with. It's a shame the INTV didn't have detachable controllers...just to switch things up.

Agree, not a game that benefits from the stock controller.

You can see right away that in space armada the invaders are bigger, start much closer to your ship and have very little lateral room to march back and forth.  This results in much less time to clear the enemy, requiring different strategy.  In space armada, enemy weapons change as the game advances and you can't shoot enemy missiles.

Thank you. I appreciate your synopsis of the two.

The space hawks don't change direction too much and end up flying at a constant speed and direction.  It's much easier and much more fun to chase them and match their speed in drift mode.  Otherwise you're creating extra work for yourself.  Yes, it's tougher to avoid a collision when you have all that momentum but saving lives is not the priority in this game.  You can kill more space hawks and score more points per hour in drift mode,

I kinda want to see the math behind this. Not saying it isn't true.
