Yes I did. And I got weird glitches in the screen handling, and now it does not even want to show anything on the screen at all.

I did stick to the OS version "Mac OS Monterey" (12.7.3) because I did not want to lose compatibility with applications that are important for my daily work.

It's a pity that it is slightly glitchy. I love the emulator.

I will try to remove the app entirely and re-install it. Sometimes it is difficult to re-install an app, because things are left behind when you drag an app to the trash. In the past I used an app called APP ZAPPER on Mac OS (I remember I used it already when I was on Mac OS X Tiger (10.4.x)

Let's see whether that app still exists for this version of Mac OS

I started using App Cleaner and Uninstaller.  It's pretty good.

    Greetings Starfighters!

    Looking for a working 1050.

I just need the drive, I don't need a power supply or an SIO cable so that should help on shipping.

    thanks!

    Jon

    Still looking?

I also suggest removing your phone number for safety reasons. Also, adding some prices and photographs of the items for sale may help attract serious buyers.

I’m interested in the 1050, but I need to know if it functions properly and what it looks like.

Don't think you'll get a response back from a new user and his only message posted was in a for sale forum.

But....... I have a couple of 1050's in very good and functioning condition with US Doublers (clones).

    PM me if interested

On my Mac Studio M1 Max, I have all kind of issues anyway with this emulator. I wished there were more updates. I have been a very happy and satisfied user of Atari800Mac, but since I moved to this computer, it is all kind of trouble.

And yes, the crashes with editing certain types of ATR files, happen here too... but I believe they did that before as well. I always edit small ATR files, and then on the real hardware I move everything to the 16MB SpartaDos partitions.

Besides the crashing of ATRs with more than 65 files in them, the program has been stable with my M2 Pro Mini.

Did you do a fresh install when you switched to your studio?

@WOPRpwJOSHUA  so I downloaded your image files and had a look.

Good news is you have a rev d 800xl board. Ntsc.

So a rambo xl upgrade will work. It's fairly straightforward to install, but involves socketing ram and replacing with the 256k chips, socketing the upper 74ls158 chip, which the rambo xl board goes in, and also socketing the pia 6520 chip far right of the board. Then a few dupont wires.

    See here:

I am in the UK and get this premade rambo xl board:

    .. And these 256k chips:

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273100954587?

Or there are PBI plugins options for ram upgrades which are plug and okay:

You'll also likely wish to hook up chroma to use svideo,  which is a superior video output on the 800xl, but doesn't come ready from factory. A simple wire with a 100ohm resistor in it, hooked up to the chroma pin 5 on the din5:

This old image I quickly found shows topside of the board, but you can do this on the underside, just don't forget the 100ohm resistor and heatshrink :

I've done quite a few (underside method) without adding the resistor and the output looks very good. So why the 100Ω resistor?

    @atarimac

I believe I’ve encountered a bug in the program (v6.0.1). I’m using my M2 Pro Mac mini running Sonoma 14.4.1. And I also tried it on my 2012 MacBook Pro also running Sonoma 14.4.1 (via OCLP).

I was trying to EDIT an ATR file and the program crashed. I was baffled because I’m able to EDIT other ATRs. Except for this specific one.

The ATR that I’m trying to EDIT is a SpartaDOS 3.3a 16meg ATR with 72 programs in it. And when I select an ATR with maybe about 10 programs in it, it doesn’t crash.

Also, when I’m editing the ATR with the 10 programs and start drag/dropping programs into it, the directory will get corrupted when I add maybe about 20 more programs to it while in EDIT mode. It will get corrupted whether I’m dragging programs 1 by 1 or multiple programs. It’ll get corrupted in both the EDIT screen and also when I type DIR at the Dx: prompt.

I started deleting one program at a time and selecting the ATR to edit and it continued to crash until I reached a file count of 65. At that point I was able to open the ATR to EDIT without crashing.

So is 65 the true limit to be able to EDIT an ATR or is this a bug?

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Atari800MacX and I'm getting the same results.

    Anyone else?

I was waiting on some 6810's to replace the one that I removed to make a US Doubler for another 1050 that I have.

So after replacing c42, c43, c69 and c70 with those smaller looking capacitors, today I finally got a chance to try and test out this drive after receiving the 6810's today. The drive does not turn on at all. I don't have a multimeter.

Anyone wanna take a crack at this board?

This "project" is still available. I purchased this kit to see if I can fix it, but I never got around to it. Maybe someone wants to purchase this and fix it themselves?

Yes it is. And you can run an emulated BBS EXPRESS ST on an ST emulator as well.

We don't have to flip chicken to get it done either :)

Really?? Which emulator? I've tried on Hatari. I've gotten it to run, but no communication in/out. Same thing with RATSoft on Hatari.

What BASIC Rev is on these 800XL's?

Both have the Rev. B BASIC.

The other 800XL has the RamboXL SM version (designed by @Overange) of the upgrade.

Edit:  The one with the SM version of the 256k upgrade (serial# 094) is missing a foot (the black rubber things on the bottom).  And only one of them has a cover for the parallel port. Also, I removed the metal shields from both computers to make them "lighter" for shipping. Besides, they're not really necessary for their operation.
