It was pretty much designed around Mario64. I found it fine but i can see how some might not like it.

I’m wondering if Adventure is planned for 2021. I’m really looking forward to a remake of that one. I have fond memories of that game but it’s just not that fun now. Unfortunately It doesn’t stand up well for me in 2020, but what a game it was at the time !!! Bring on The Amico Version 😎😎😎

All of this news has reminded me of my days when I was working as a game buyer in Montreal. We sold to blockbuster and other Video rental Stores that rented video games which was basically all of them at the time. I worked at this job from 1994-2006. I went to all of the E3 shows. The first one was the biggest thrill with mario64 on display !!!! I was in heaven. The games , the booths , the meetings , the atmosphere and of course the S.W.A.G. !! They game away so much stuff in those days. I was cleaning my garage the other day and I found a few huge boxes filled with video game t-Shirts and lots of other stuff I got from the E3 conventions and from the game manufacturers. I must have have over 100 t shirts brand new in storage !! Those were the days !!! Loved that job !!

I agree. I don’t know how Tommy handles all of this constant negativity but I’m thankful he is confident about the Amico and doesn’t seem to let it get to him. Why can’t people enjoy whatever type of gaming they like and just RELAX ? I feel like I’m in the twilight zone 😧 Some people have time to waste I see !!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Tommy and the whole team. You have no idea how happy you have made me. This has been my passion Since I heard about the Amico back when it was announced. You would probably not be getting all of this backlash if you kept everything quiet and did not discuss price , show early demos and let the real fans follow this project from beginning to end, but I am so thankful you let us into into this project and into your life .👍 Thank you 😊

Great video and those are some great choices of games !! One thing I noticed is that you mentioned Moon Patrol as a pack in game. It’s not a pack in game unfortunately. I wish it was 😀 keep those videos coming !!! 👍

It would be so cool to have some sort of Easter egg as you said for the dedicated AA members. Our names in rolling credits somewhere would be so awesome !! After all, most of us are dedicated sales people for the Amico talking about it to whoever will listen 👂 This would be the best “extra” I can think of. What do you think Tommy ? Pretty please with a cherry 🍒 on top ? 😂

I’m looking forward to the reimagined version of miner 2049er ! I used to play the heck out of that game on my Atari 5200. Also the reimagined version of Atari adventure will be awesome. That was amazing on the 2600 at the time . We used our imagination and it seemed so cool 😀

After thinking about it in that way, I agree with you. It could ruin the game if you survived every time you hit hyperspace. I got blinded by my frustration with hyperspace, but as you said it’s like a cheat . Totally agree with you 👍 Forget what I said !!!! It might be fun to have a mode with a shield That runs out after a certain amount of use like in Asteroids deluxe with its own leaderboard of course. If there are some “easier” modes it’s ok as long as they have a separate leaderboard. I’m a huge high score chaser but things have to be fair and equal or high scores mean nothing. That’s why mobile games that let you buy your high score suck. 😊

Good ideas. I just don’t like losing a life by using hyperspace and appearing beside an asteroid with no time to get away from it. I believe this happened in Defender as well. It’s SUPER aggravating as makes hyperspace more luck than skill. Some type of shield would fix it. Either replacing the hyperspace function with a shield like Asteroids Deluxe, or as you said, having some type of force field for a short time after using hyperspace. This is something to seriously consider please. Your thoughts Tommy ? 😀😀😀

Maybe you could allow the player to configure the controls as they prefer ? Would that be too complicated ?

I liked the shield from Deluxe much better than hyperspace. That was the one thing that bothered me from Asteroids. Hyperspace was so random. You Press it and often just randomly die. Maybe replace the hyperspace with shield ?

I agree with that. I think thrust belongs next to the rotation ship button. I think I just confused myself . I have to think about this ! Lol ok. I thought about it and agree with this configuration. The hyperspace button would be best on the left since you use it less than the other buttons. The other three functions are used constantly and I feel that the left button would be a bit harder to access in this case since your hand will always be on the rotate ship button. I am confusing myself ! Im sure it will be great to control the game and much better that a standard type controller which is awful for this game.

I believe that it was said that it could be more than 3 letters. Also there will be room for multiple names for coop modes I think. Maybe Tommy can confirm 😀

I used P.M for my initials. I did not used my middle name and found my initials stood out this way since most people used three letters. I remember the thrill of seeing my initials up there 😊 coming day after day and pumping all of those quarters into those machines. I got lost and was in another world when I was playing my favourite games. It didn’t matter if I was at a huge arcade or a bowling alley or the local pizza place. Those were magical times 😀

I agree completely. The thing that I’m most surprised about is the overall upgrade from PS3 to PS4 seemed so little and I am sure from PS4 to PS5 will be even less. I have played very little of the last 2 generations of consoles from Microsoft and Sony. I’m going backwards now and playing more and more older games. It’s been a while since I have had much fun with the newer consoles. Thank god the Amico is coming. I’m still and Will always be a Nintendo fan and understand how people love Sony and Microsoft and PC gaming etc .....it’s all good but it’s not my thing anymore. I’m in my 50’s and have a family and only have time for simple fun with them playing along with me 😀 On a side note, I certainly won’t go to a Sony or Microsoft group and tell Everyone why I don’t think a PS5 is worth it or what I don’t like about Sony , etc ....who has the time for that ? I don’t get it 🤔

I agree. I wish we could drop that type of discussion altogether. Its really annoying at this point. The “haters” that have nothing better to do just need to be ignored. I don’t come here for negativity. I come to share my passion with all of the cool people on this board and it always brightens my day 😀
