  1. could someone please post the link to the article where tommy revealed the significance of the 10/10 date? thanks.
  2. what is the intellivision "rebel" symbol supposed to be a depiction of? i can't tell if it's some guy holding a handlebar or some tripped out flamingo or what?
  3. yo tommy. how bout making a "beat em up" for the amico and calling it, "Super Cholos!" it could be very similar to streets of rage. you would just have to fight and progress through various stages of the hood with several different venues like a pool hall or a nightclub trying to rescue some hookers from a rival gang or something. you could even make the final boss "Clubber Lang." i think it would be neat. think about it.
  4. are you freaking kidding me!?!? OK... you now officially have the opportunity to make the best system ever created. DON'T BLOW IT! 🙂
  5. O i believe you. But the problem is that night stalker is only one game on the system. hopefully they'll be more like it. And again... i realize that someone like me isn't apart of your target audience. And that's cool... i totally get it... that's not where the money trail lies. i'm just saying that in your desire to ingratiate yourself to the herd with simple and approachable content, please don't forget about that select group of us that prefer to be challenged without being pampered. 🙂
  6. i just really hope that in your desire to make the console "accessible" to everyone, you don't end up gelding it to the point where it becomes a total pansy machine. 😡
  7. so are you saying that you're not just the president, but also a member?
  8. as long as they have a "classic version" like the 1972 edition of the board game. something similar to the 1986 film. ambience is key with clue. absolutely vital! which will inherently also render the soundtrack imperatively important.
  9. yes. it's called the "hegelian dialectic." divide and conquer strategy. while the sheep are distracted through endless quarreling amidst themselves, those on top use such opportunities to amass more and more power and control.
  10. Amen! that's how you do it! playing retro games in their original form will prove his mettle and add some hair to his chest. good to hear you're raising a strong alpha male in this millennial snowflake generation.
  11. well technically that wouldn't be shilling anyway since you're the one that's paying intellivision in order to advertise for them. a parallel example would be a whore offering to pay you for her services. 🧐
  12. perhaps in a few years then after you've sold tens of millions of units. although by that time i'll probably have already been killed off by the new world order purges.
  13. yo tommy. how bout giving everyone who bought a founder's a lifetime 25% off discount to the store. then they would be founder's indeed.
  14. "Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein; and he that rolleth a stone, it will return upon him." ~ proverbs 26: 27
  15. because back then his anger was justified because the chameleon was a scam. But now he's applying a previous formula for success in order to solve what appears to be a similar equation. But the problem is that the variables have changed, and the formula no longer works; which means the problem cannot be solved, and it's driving him mad in a fog of frustration, confusion, and anger. like... why won't this thing just die already!
  16. he's a man playing a role to pay the bills. But play the role long enough... eventually the role consumes the man, and only the role remains.
  17. i second all of that. And if they can get yuzo on board for a new (grassroots, true to form) streets of rage (or shinobi) game that everyone's been clamoring for since the dreamcast, then the amico will take all the spoils in the 9th gen. console wars.
  18. not saying you shouldn't step in and defend yourself. there comes a time when we must all stand up and fight for what we believe in. what i'm saying is that you shouldn't degrade yourself into becoming like the very enemy that you're seeking to destroy. it's never a good thing to look in the mirror only to see your adversary staring right back at you. fighting fire with fire only causes greater harm and destruction, and will ultimately be unprofitable and counterproductive to your cause in the end.
  19. i'm glad you added that part about censorship and correcting "wrongthink." And that's the beautiful thing about free speech. you can say whatever it is you want to say, even if it is an uninformed, ignorant opinion that influences people the wrong way, and that acts as an impetus to cause them to behave in a manner that would be unprofitable to you. And i wouldn't have it any other way. Because the purpose of the first amendment is to protect speech you don't agree with and/or find offensive, and that may even misinform people; because if everyone agreed with each other and all points of view were compatible and uniform, then there would be no reason to have your speech protected, right? haters are always gonna hate; but you can't go around obsessing about it, always trying to put out fires just to protect your own interests. leave them be. the harder you push something down, the greater its potential force when propelled to the top. if the amico is everything tommy says it will be, then nothing can stop it. people will buy it no matter what. For if you build it, they will come. in fact, i guarantee you that the ones who hate it the most will likely be the first in line simply because they won't be able to help themselves. why do you think they hate on it so much? Because they recognize that it possesses a different and conspicuous quality that makes it protrude and stand out in the middle of this muddled ecosystem of gaming in which everything is the same. And if it is indeed a viable and genuine product that will perfectly fill a void as it purports itself to be, then it will clearly speak for itself. look... you can tell pat and ian don't even believe anything they say. truthfully, they believe in this project more than anyone else. why do you think they're trying so hard to destroy it? you don't give your attention to something that holds no value, or that doesn't have any auspicious beginnings that promise success. bottom line: the blind leader has the right to lead his blind followers into a ditch; and the blind follower has the right to allow himself to be deceived and led off the cliff. you can't go around with a God-complex trying to police people's thoughts (even if they're wrong) and try to set them straight, forcing them to see the "light" or see things your way. it just comes off looking bad and will associate the console with negative connotations. tommy has done plenty of interviews and released a ton of information out there for people to avail themselves of in order to be properly informed if they wish; but if they choose to dismiss it and stay ignorant, then that's on them. you can't compel them to drink from the well of truth. conversely, i'm not saying you shouldn't speak your mind or even debate people if necessary. i've defended the amico myself. But purposefully going out of your way and going around and patrolling youtube like the amico gestapo isn't going to make things any better. Quite frankly, it'll just make matters worse because you can't impose yourself on people's conscience like that. let everyone be persuaded (or deceived) in their own mind. they have the right to be deceived; and they also have the right to do their own research and make their own decision without having a group of interlopers always getting in their face to set the record straight, even if their final decision is derived from misinformation, and affects intellivision's profit margins. So i guess what i'm saying is... if you want to counter bad information, then put your own information out there, and let people sift through the knowledge presented of their own accord, ON THEIR OWN, and through their own free will without trying to funnel their minds in the direction you think best. And again, given time... i believe the product will speak for itself. And i'm pretty sure that those who have been the most outspoken - raising their belligerent and derisive voices the loudest in protest - will also end up being the ones opening their wallets the widest.
  20. Amen! Dat's what i'm talkin bout! ninja platforming games have always been my favorite, and if they can manage to produce a tmnt stealth platformer in the style of the original 1980's mirage comics (especially if they all wore red headbands) then i believe it would be an instant success that would cause the amico to fly off the shelves. practically *EVERYONE* would rush to get an amico at that point. my only worry is that the t-man was talking about watering down such games to make them more palatable with the amico's marketing message, which i don't necessarily have a problem with. i totally get it. blood and gratuitous violence SHOULD be omitted; but a game like the original shinobi arcade, for example, is as benign as it gets. no blood or gratuitous violence whatsoever. yet he said there were things they could do to make such games better conform to their standards. But what changes could they implement on an already innocuous game like that without totally eviscerating it, and turning it into a mockery of its former self?
  21. wise man. in fact, i would suggest using cash as much as possible.
  22. not to mention food and water if the economy should crash. just saying. in precarious times like these i would avoid getting into debt as much as possible.
  23. so would you consider the original revenge of shinobi on sega genesis to have some "aggressive" elements? And if so, what are some of the aggressive aspects of gameplay that you would omit on a game like that, for example?
