  1. The ST has a lot less soul and character than what the A8 has, for me. Plus, there were so many great games on the A8, whereas it was hard for me to find anything I liked on the ST. And I do prefer the 8-bit graphics of the A8 over the ST's graphics.
  2. The Driver games are refferenced to on a few billboards in San Andreas.
  3. I bought Silent Hill 2, just so that I'd have a horror game to review and upload onto Youtube on Halloween. Turns out the game is really great anyway.
  4. That's disgusting. I would never buy a game where you have to pay extra to be able to play through the full story/all of the missions. I'm so happy to just stick with the past generations of consoles.
  5. Yup, it is. I remember someone saying (may have been in this topic) that if I use a UK charger, then the SP will get hotter than normal. I don't really like the sound of that. So maybe I should go for a USB charger, to charge it from my computer, or a step down converter so I can use the American charger.
  6. Well, I recieved it in the post a couple of days ago, and I'm really pleased with it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8MtzjpzFOk
  7. 2600 Jr (long rainbow) and the 800XL Both have big libraries of great games, both hold nostlagia for me, and both have really great looks.
  8. Well, at long last I've finally bought a backlit one, in black this time (as I think I do prefer it in black), Cost me around £38 inc p&p. Condition seems fairly good for the price, considering it's a backlit one, so, all I've got to do now is to just wait for it. I can't really work out the charger though, it doesn't look like it can plug into a wall socket (whether it be an American wall socket or a British one), or a car cigarette lighter socket. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290614597184
  9. Here's a video that I made, where you can see the black bars on the screen, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T32VWrZ-FNI I've sent it back now, and got a refund. Unfortunalty I've still not managed to get a 101 yet. When I turned the front light off, the screen was so dark it looked almost completely black, it was so hard to see the game at all.
  10. Um, I think you need to chill out a bit. This isn't an English class.
  11. I love the 80's, I'm a very nostalgic person. But I also love the present. The 80's have been back in vogue for a long time now, fashions have come back, remakes, etc. And with the Internet, it's never been easier to relive those days, watch old shows, and buy things from back in the day that you remember. This is why I think the present is probably just as good.
  12. Thanks guys. I'm going to send it back to get a refund. And I'm going to plump for backlit one that hopefully is in really good condition.
  13. I have a non backlit screen on my GBA SP. I've just tried a game in it for the first time tonight, and the screen looks absolutley shit. It's really washed out and hard to see. Turning the light off just makes it worse. I felt so disappointed and I wish I hadn't bought it now, money is really tight at the moment. I can also see faint black bars in the screen too. I did think there must be a fault with my GBA, because if it's normal for the screens to be like this, then I cannot see how it could've sold well at all. I'm sure it's fully charged too. But when I had a look on the Internet, it seems like it's normal for the games to look washed out and for it to be hard to see them. As far as I remember, when I played on an Atari Lynx, the screen on it looked no where near as bad as the screen on this. So basically, what I'd like to ask is, is this normal? Or do I have a broken GBA SP? Thanks.
  14. Does anyone know if NTSC games still work on PAL GBA SP's? Thanks.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rugVNPqqsjc Someone commented on the video and said 'wow... what an odd review' I asked him why he thought that, but he never answered. I'm really curious about why the review is odd.
  16. Atari Anthology. Really surprised to see 'courtesy of Atariage' under some of the scans.
  17. I'll go for the PSOne one then, I really like the fact that Moon Patrol is on it as well. I already have Midway Arcade Treasures 1 for the PS2, and I should be recieving Atari Anthology today.
  18. I'll look out for the PS1 one then. *Edit* I've just spotted Midway Arcade Hits Vol 2 for the Dreamcast on ebay. I'll have to look into it and see if that one will definatley have Burger Time on it. As I'd prefer the Dreamcast version.

So... an Intellivision gamer? Haven't seen you in our neck of the woods...

  20. Great to see you here, man.

  21. Awsome game. I don't think I can even get 5,000 though.
  22. Arcade TAC SCAN got an official home release on only two systems. Atari 2600 and PS2. Guess which one is a close rendition to the Arcade. Its on the NTSC Sega Genesis compilation as an unlock, should also be on your PAL Sega Mega drive compilation. Get a SmartJoyFrag and enjoy the game with a Spinner mod! Yeah, I've unlocked it. I find it really hard though.
  23. Lol, yup. I've realised though that if I have no lives left, and I remember to quickly exit out of the game as soon as I'm killed, just before the game over screen comes up, then my score will get saved. Still a bit of a pain to have to do it that way though. I don't think the people must've spent much time testing this game.
