  1. I am open to anything right now. The synthetic Pokey is fine with me as well.
  2. eBay was good to me today! I received an original issue A1 7800, that included a pinned Expansion Interface AND a later A3 model with the expansion space completely covered up. Both units were VERY tight for stock Atari 2600 games and impossible for 3rd party 2600 games... Without the Lock-On 2600 of course. With the Lock-On 2600 it was a breeze. I call this a winning success. Any time I play 2600 games from now on it'll be with the Lock-On 2600. If you need a demonstration video, let me know and I'll be glad to showcase them.
  3. All, What started as an adapter for the 7800 turned into something that I did not anticipate, a great solution for all Atari 2600-compatibles that have a death grip on your 3rd party carts. I know my Light Sixer has a real hard time with M-Network games and now even the ColecoVision Expansion Module #1 is getting some love. I urge you to check out the post on the 7800 board and voice your interest. We hope to have more in stock in the next 3-4 weeks. Thanks!
  4. This looks AMAZING! Such detail. I actually may have some fun 3D printing.
  5. @winz_mod is currently building the units and people have been contacted for payment for the first round. We are waiting for the rest of the units to be built before we contact the last of everyone for this round. Next round of boards have been ordered. Once they arrive we'll open up again for orders. I will also update the main post with this. Thanks!
  6. Mine is an A1 as well. I don't think I could gather enough courage to Dremel my systems.
  7. Even for 3rd party 2600 games like M-Network and DataAge?
  8. I have many filament colors available if someone wants to pay extra for a non-black one then I'm all ears.
  9. You know when you get older you just need a little extra help.
  10. Actually Winz created the board. Below is what the first 10 boards look like. The next run will have the official logo on the boards. Sourcing edge connectors was a bit expensive, Digikey/Mouser don't make them cheap unfortunately.
  11. Those are some beautiful pictures. Thank you so much for putting it through its paces. The remaining carts of the first batch should go out starting Wednesday.
  12. Someone on the Facebook suggested to look at the ColecoVision Expansion Module #1 to see if I could get the Lock-On 2600 to fit. After modifying the shell it works! The next release of the Lock-On 2600 will be compatible!
  13. We are currently out of stock but will be making more soon. We'll let everyone know once they are available again.
  14. Guess great minds think alike, eh? Also explains why I didn't find anything on my cursory search since the dealer is German.
  15. Woah these went quick! I am currently out of the available stock. I will see about getting new stock situated soon. I'd like the people who do have one to chat in here on their experiences, feedback or suggestions for improvements. Thanks!
  16. Do you have 3rd party carts that won't fit properly into your 7800 or 2600? I've personally experienced on a few of my systems; this is why @winz_mod and I created the "Lock-On 2600", the Tight Cart Fix for 2600 games. No modding needed, just attach the Lock-On 2600 to your cart and plug it into your system. It couldn't be easier! This has been tested with many systems and the compatibility is stellar, see all the reviews in this very thread! Each unit is $30 plus shipping. We HIGHLY recommend paying extra for USPS Priority Shipping due to lost packages. Updates: 07/28/2020: Round 3 carts have been shipped out by @winz_mod. Everyone should've received a DM on tracking. If you haven't please let me know. We are still evaluating our options on placing stock in the AtariAge store. 07/23/2020: Round 3 carts are being sent to @winz_mod , they should be there on Monday. Then it'll take another week to prepare for shipment. Expect these to go out around the first week of August. I will send tracking numbers once we are ready for that I do apologize for being a week late, I fractured a bone in my foot. Everything is good now We are evaluating our options on further releases. One option we are considering is placing them on the AtariAge store. 06/30/2020: Round 2 carts will be shipped out today. Everyone should have a tracking number. Round 3 carts are being 3D printed as we speak. @winz_mod has ordered more stuff to make sure we can accommodate everyone in Round 3. Expect these to be ready around July 15th. 06/26/2020: Round 2 carts were shipped to Winz. There are 10 more carts we are sending. Each cart was tested twice before being sent out. People who requested, in order, are being contacted to see if they still wish their order fulfilled. Carts are the v2 version so they are a bit slimmer. Due to this we had to use some glue with the screws used to connect the top and bottom parts. We also tried a new method of bonding the shells to the 3D printer bed so the back logo may seem a bit cloudy. A bit of high-grit wet sandpaper to polish should give you a nice clean finish if desired. 06/21/2020: Round 1 shipments are all delivered but one, the USPS machine ate it. So we owe a lucky person a new cart. Speaking of new carts, take a look at the v2 case. Slimmer and with logos! https://twitter.com/ChrisKewlTV/status/1274581215119638529 The new PCBs should arrive next week and they are quite pretty as well. I will be showcasing those when I have them in hand. 06/10/2020: Round 1 shipments are going out today being shipped from Brooklyn by @winz_mod. Tracking numbers will be given once available. Round 2 boards have been ordered and should arrive by the end of the month. 06/03/2020: We are out of stock but we have ordered more. @winz_mod is waiting for the card edge connectors and shells so he can build them and ship them out. 17. I just received a Facebook Marketplace purchase from a person who said this was their childhood unit. Everything worked when I tested it. When I opened it up I saw a PAL sticker on the RF module. Here are all of the pictures of the internals. Any thoughts would be wonderful! Thanks!
  18. If you're worried about space why not up the cart to 16k or is it about how much you can stuff neatly in the smallest package possible? Just curious.
  19. I guess if I have to play live this would be the way to go. I also took this video to Handbrake at a Fast interlace and it's not horrible either, it does blink approximately once a second and is readable on the Harmony screen. If this is how I have to live with it then I guess I'll do this. Thanks again!
  20. Here is an attempt at 60FPS on Twitch, a little bit better: http://www.twitch.tv/kilokahntv/v/25871872 I will have to look at capturing the video to re-render after the fact though, I'll still broadcast live at 60fps but then re-render to 30fps after maybe. I am very familiar with Handbrake though, so I can do something after the fact if necessary. You've been awesome sharing this information, it's been a big help so far. If you can think of anything else, I'm all ears.
  21. The Framemeister RGB-Mini claims it is sending the 60hz to the capture card, the capture card claims it is seeing 60hz as well. This sounds like to me that the capture card isn't happy since I am getting everything to my TV just fine. This is why my thought is maybe its not sending exactly 60hz or the card isn't grabbing exactly 60hz, something is off on the sync maybe? If it's always skipping the blink frame, shouldn't it always be on or always be off but not rotate like it is doing? What I can do is also plug the S-Video into the capture card directly and see what it does. It is food for thought nonetheless.
  22. Man, I want to try this on my Harmony cart but I also want to wait until it is completed and do a playthrough on Twitch. Decisions, decisions!
  23. I have a light sixer with an s-video mod. Here is the S-Video mod I did in early 2014: http://electronicsentimentalities.com/Assembled%20Mods.html Now from the Framemeister XRGB-Mini to my TV it looks good, it doesn't flicker very well at all on my newer TV but it's consistent video so I can see all the elements. The capture card I use, however, isn't seeing it so well however. I have a Startech USB3HDCAP and the sync is a bit off. The Startech claims it is doing exactly 60fps, so does this mean that the Atari isn't exactly doing 60fps? Here is a snippet of video from last night to show you the issue: http://www.twitch.tv/kilokahntv/v/25624895 EDIT: I also should mention that static image games, such as Stampede and Dodge 'Em work quite well. Anything that flickers is a crapshoot. Here is the whole video from last night, the Atari 2600 video starts around the 16 minute mark: http://www.twitch.tv/kilokahntv/v/25487300
  24. I am a fan of Harmony+ or Harmony Encore. They both say "revision" in my eyes. Secondly, why no Boulder Dash on the new Harmony? It should be playable if it allows up to 512k. Thirdly, can you have an INI that allows to pick the folder for the default BIN folder? It really helps in navigating. Fourthly...?, the $25 upgrade should include return shipping in the continental US IMHO (from a person that got theirs on Christmas 2013). It's a nice round number and sounds better than $25+ship. Finally, I think there should be a cased version. I mocked one up and it came out well. https://scontent-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/t1/1546419_433212920139609_1079178764_n.jpg https://scontent-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc3/t1/1505106_433213500139551_625722517_n.jpg Thanks!
  25. Your Atari is beautiful! I may have to go the same route, maybe I can "recreate" the Atari logo on the right side and do the method of skinning. Do you have a step-by-step on how you did this or maybe some tips? Thanks!
