LINUX! Specifically, certain people are working hard to get Linux running on the Nintendo DS with the aid of the newly developed and refined "PassMe" hardware. http://www.dslinux.org/ http://www.neoflash.com/ <-utilizes "PassMe" hardware In my humble opinion, of any portable system, it seems to me that the DS would be the perfect system to put an OS and other programs onto. The touch screen could double as a keyboard and a mouse...get some memory storage on it (connected via GBA slot), and boom, you got a DS turned handheld PC. The GBA cartidge would work well as an expansion port. Connect extra ram. The cart could have a plug on it it to attatch add-ons, Keyboard, mose, Hand-held scanner, mini printer, computer interface, etc... Obviously the point to doing this isn't to create the new PCP of the year. The reason is two-fold: 1. They're sending out a message. Linux will run on anything, anywhere. Being practical is not the issue. Just put Linux EVERYWHERE! Mother of Neccesity need not aply! 2. DS users now also have a PCP and the didn't have to buy one. Just some software. Pretty nifty. Comments, suggestions? Aside: Anyway, I figure that if I'm gonna get anywhere in this community, I'd better put myself out there, so here I am.
