Hey Tommy, I mentioned this in Pete’s podcast yesterday to you and want to mention it again here. Michael Mullis was pretty adamant about having the release of original Intellivision games at launch and I agree with you that it could send a message that the Amico Is just another retro flashback console. However, wouldn’t it be something that every reimagined Intellivision game came with the original game and it could only be unlocked by performing a certain achievement? For example, if you kill the final boss in the reimagined Astrosmash, you will unlock the original Astrosmash! Wouldn’t THAT be something????

Tommy, sounds like he is open for programmers to reach out to him: ” UDisc: Is there anything else you wanted to add? Wahlstedt: Yeah. If anyone out there with any kind of programming experience or who's even just interested in learning wants to help me with this, just reach out*. I'm really open to collaboration. *You can reach Per Wahlstedt by e-mail at [email protected]” I really hope Hans does this. I think this would be HUGE for the Amico! Again, disc golf is the world’s fastest growing sport!

I think it needs to be said that Tommy needs to hire you CurlyQ. Your attention to detail is freaking INCREDIBLE! Did anyone notice E.T. holding the Atari joystick? What about the Running Man on one of the Jawas? Do you see the Utopia Rebel? Again, amazing work. I’m am beyond impressed. Tommy needs you to do ALL the box cover art for the Amico!!!

I’ve said this to him before. It’s not in the immediate future but it sure would make great use of motion controls. Disc golf is the fastest growing sport and I’m sure it will reach the Amico eventually. I play the mobile app Disc Golf Valley quite a bit and if Tommy would play a few minutes of this, he would be hooked and on board for disc golf to come to the Amico sooner than later!

This is great to hear! Glad you mentioned same mechanics. Donkey Kong is another example of a game where I was pleasantly surprised. I got pretty good at playing it and had no idea there was a fourth different screen. Found out about it in the arcade while friends were watching Me play and it freaked everyone out!

You know Tommy, Space Armada was one of my top five Intellivision favorites. I thought I was pretty good at that game until I recently watched a YouTube video gameplay of it. I never knew that later in the game the red spaceship at the top of the screen actually comes down and eats away at your bunkers! These are the types of things I love about the old Intellivision. Even though you think you have mastered a game, there was always something more to some of them. A couple more examples are Night Stalker with the invisible robot when you get to 80,000 points and with Tron Deadly Discs and the orange men with paralyzing sticks when you reach 1,000,000 points. I really hope the Amico games will have this type of bonus, reward, Easter egg, whatever you want to call it for those who really excel at playing.

Hey Tommy! I have two ideas that you NEED to implement! 1) Mic Drop Monday’s — every Monday leading up to the release of the Amico you announce your big mic drop announcements!!! 2) Founder’s Edition Friday’s — via email, send the people who preordered the Founders Edition a little piece of information, game play videos, or anything that you have not previously shared as a thank you for preordering.

I must have missed the part where Tommy let it be known he was intentionally misleading and I’m not questioning that as I do believe you. You are right that no one else fits the criteria given the clues so I don’t see how it could be anyone else other than J. If it is indeed J, I would be very happy with the new addition but I would be disappointed that we were purposely lied to.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say today’s announcement is not J Allard. Why? I just don’t think Tommy would say the following if it was: ”Wouldn't That Be Something™? Hahahha!! Damn... that would be epic!! Imagine! The guy who got Microsoft on the internet, created XBOX, XBOX Arcade, XBOX 360! (and Zune) And although J is a friend... it's unfortunately not J. I really don’t think he would say this if it was indeed him. I think we are all going to be in a shock when the announcement hits. Whether it is J Allard or someone else, I think we are all going to be saying, “Now isn’t that something?” Looking forward to the announcement Tommy!
