I'm a collector myself but not a vintage computer collector....topaz is out of right way for me and many other collectors...if I want to collect a new falcon and he opened it modifying it,there is no ay it is still new but just used from a collectr's point of view. There are 2 concepts:collecting falcons and USING falcons. If you want to use it,you will spend the right amount of money compared to its features. To collect it,it could maybe worth more but new in box,sealed and not modified. I asked here since I came across one guy who claim to have one new with 85mg hard drive and wants $1000 for it. Of course he mentioned well known atari stores(like b and c) which sell it for 799 reconditioned...

Thanks for the inputs so far. But how much would the price be to buy a falcon nw in the box nowadays? 4 meg ram and 85 hd,pal version. Complete with all manuals and all installaation disks,all internal padding and original box with matching serial number with the machine.

Was it even sold? I'm looking for a new falcon and would like to know possible updated price and what exactly came with it in the box.
