  1. I also received my cart today! Serial #30. It got here very quickly indeed! Already had the power adapter waiting for it. I left the original 7800 power supply untouched. Plugged the new power adapter into the DF cart and skipped the jumper cable. This way, I can pull the DF cart out and stow it behind the console when not in use. I keep a dust cover on my 7800 when not in use and it slides under the TV, so there is not enough clearance with a cartridge in the console. This thing sure is plug-n-play. Fired right up and got into some games. Like Crossbow mentioned, had to 'Force' the RAM to get the "XM Enabled" on Pac Man 40th Anniv collection. Sounds great. Have not had to mess with the volumes yet. The TIA and PokeyMax sounded pretty even on Commando, with the Pokey sounds being slightly louder. Great job for sure on the development RJ!
  2. I'm sure its been brought up elsewhere on this forum in the past, but it's also fairly easy to take the potentiometer out of an original 2600 paddle and swap it into the 5200 controller. I've done a couple of these. They work great for Super Breakout and Kaboom. Just search Atari 5200 paddle controller on youtube. There are a few methods that differ slightly but its the same basic idea. One also adds a switch that works as a shifter for use with Pole Position. I did not add that to mine.
  3. I received my Concerto today! I updated to the .95 firmware before doing anything with it. Then I loaded Trebor's 7800 Pro Pack and fired up the cartridge. The official releases I have tried so far have all worked as expected. Loaded a few non-official games which worked as well. Then I installed a POKEY Chip and re-tested Ballblazer and Commando. The POKEY sound worked on both games, so I was happy about that. So far, the directories I created have all worked. I have not experienced any freezes. I have not loaded any 2600 games. I may just leave the 2600 games on the Harmony and Uno Cart for now instead of bloating the directories on the Concerto. SanDisk 16GB Class-4 SD Card UAV S-Video modded 7800 connected through RetroTink 2x Pro to HDMI Thanks Batari for all your effort in putting out a great multi-cart!
  4. I was able to get the new 8bitdo Arcade Stick that I bought to use with my Nintendo Switch to work with the Seagull 78 and Retro Receiver on my 7800. I also replaced the guts of the arcade stick with an upgraded Sanwa joystick and Ultimarc concave gold leaf buttons. Had to solder a 5-pin harness onto the board for the Sanwa but it was pretty simple to do. The arcade style buttons were a tight fit and tricky to get in there, but with some time and patience, I was able to get everything to fit. Anyway, it's great! When you pair it, it has to be in Switch mode. I suppose if you had your own homemade controller enclosure, I don't see why you could not use the boards out of the arcade stick and put them into something else.
  5. Mine was supposed to be delivered today also. Was accepted in Oregon a week ago and said it was on schedule for delivery in Arizona today. The status did change today but now it's in Washington near Seattle, so it took a detour north. Grrrrr. Reverse Oregon trail for real!
  6. I asked Batari the same thing. The board does have a socket on it so you can just plug in your POKEY chip and it will still fit in the shell. I did not ask about the screw being exposed, or if you would need to cut (or peel back) the label to get to the screw.
  7. Would this power adapter work? https://www.ebay.com/itm/PwrON-AC-Converter-Adapter-for-9V-2A-1-5A-Power-Supply-Charger-DC-5-5mm-x-2-1mm/122036448333?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3D6ddc75a3cf9d4bf59ed972399d9d6683%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dnone%26sd%3D133600355178%26itm%3D122036448333%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3A210772b0-39a7-11eb-a839-027fa5ca869a|parentrq%3A448855291760a9bdb1a85caafff6aa4f|iid%3A1
  8. No doubt. Keyboard is mashed. My order has the 9:09 time stamp too. The wife was talking to me and I was like....hold on a minute!
  9. I've been checking it periodically this evening and then was on there when the status changed from "Out of Stock" to "Add to Cart" at about 8 minutes past the hour! I think I got the first one out of this batch. There is only one left on there now, so 20 minutes was all it took. Can't wait to get it and use it with my Crossbow-modded 7800!
  10. I fit the ikonsgr adapter into a slightly larger enclosure than my first go around with the square one. This one in the link below is a great fit once you drill out the holes. I taped some images of the connectors on the sides to get the pattern. The button is from an N64 controller. I put a screw in the bottom of it to set the depth so it contact the button on the board. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-pcs-USA-black-Plastic-Electronic-Project-Box-Enclosure-case-3-x-2-5-x-1-in/141630591923?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  11. Just received my 7800 back from AV mod service. The services Jesse provides are nothing short of exceptional. He is on a customer service planet all to himself! Love the videos he records that demonstrate the work done and comparisons of video modes and what to look for. Very informative and a good way to learn a few things. This is the second system he has done for me as I sent him my 5200 a few months back. After playing the 5200 post AV mod, I couldn't deal with the 7800's original RF signal any longer, so off it went to Jesse. Looking forward to playing these systems for years to come. I hope to work with Jesse again in the future and highly recommended his services to anyone looking to improve their old consoles.
  12. The side with the connectors is about 2.4" if I remember correctly. It's almost the exact width of the 2.5" enclosure which is nice. The other dimension is about 1.7" of board and overhang of the DB15 ribbon cable assembly soldered to the board. When you fold up the ribbon cable it pretty much makes it a 2.4" square. A 2.5"x3"x1.1" enclosure would be nice but not sure if it exists off the shelf. The ones I saw started getting too large like 3x4x1.5" and looked too big to me. I'm sure something else is out there. I got a couple more of these to mess with, so I'll give it another shot and try to make it better. I like the fact that its a near exact fit so you really don't need to do anything to fasten it to the box, it just stays put because it has not room to go anywhere.
