  1. Hi! I know you are asking for cash, but have you considered trading ?!?! I just completed a fantastic trade where both parties came out very happy (8-bit) for (16 bit) equipment. it started with my "add" here : As my post states, I have "lots" of equipment to trade "PC" also... please think about it I am happy to do a trade that leans in your favor for the sake of not having to deal with ebay anymore. Sincerely Colleenlover.
  2. Greeting fellow Atarians, ColleenLover here, I will get straight to the point. I have grown frustrated, as it appears my collection has grown just about as far as it can via eBay. So, I would like to begin reaching out directly to the community for direct trading. I have always liked trading, I acquired my 1090XL from Ben at Video 61, then traded it to Christopher Strong for a 1400XL long ago. I have LOTS to draw from in my collection, here is just a sample of items I can offer in a package. 1) Ultra RARE - Crystal Computer Products 256K Atari 800 Axlon compatible Ram disk. *** Issue, talk to me. 2) Spare 1200XL Keyboard 3) MAC 65 cartridge 4) Working CTIA chip for the Atari 800! 5) Genuine ARCHIVER enhanced 810 drive with BRAND NEW drive mech from Atari Sales 6) Matched set of Tandon style 810 drives in perfect working order. This is just for starters, àI have: Entire mint condition computers (of almost all models) Spare Circuit boards and components. Genuine factory sealed PLATNIUM floppy disks (the best disks ever made) I also have some collectable vintage PC parts for trade. 4MB Diamond Stealth Video VRAM PCI card. NEW WD Caviar 1GB-1.2GB for your retro build. New Socket 370 motherboard bundle with 1Ghz Pentium III CPU and fan Many other similar items. In short, I have thousands of dollars of value in items like these. What I would really like, is to trade a big lot of items like this; for say 1 large item that I do not have, like maybe an STE system? Please, only serious offers and inquires, I do not want this post to get out of control. Respectfully, Collenlover

  5. Oh no! I do not like the MPI versions the SNAP-UP gets on my nerves! (Besides, all of these drives have had their drive doors upgraded with the "Brass-PIN" upgrade from BEST so the weak door issue is also fixed. I also think they look better...
  6. The 2 on the far right are Rev2 Original Happy drives (mint) # 3 is an original Archiver 810 (mint) #4+5 are Stock 810s (mint) 6/7/8 are refurbished 810s that have been retrofitted with the Tandon TM-100-2A (DS-DD version) of the drive mech. This is really nice, because it eliminates the issue of the Top rabbit-hair felt pad wearing out. Since their is an actual (unused) drive head in the top, this issue is PERMANENTLY solved.
  7. Greetings my Atari friends! I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday weekend. I was conducting my Biennial equipment inspection and thought you might get a kick out of seeing my entire stable of 810s all out at once. When I get done with these, I have 12- 1050 drives to check also.
  8. Friends, can someone tell me..... I am aware that the 1050 cases (shells) are different between the Tandon (Singapore) and Hong Kong (World storage) versions of the 1050 drives. (You cant fit one drive into the other case (wont align properly).. But... What about the electronics? Is it safe / possible to swap the 1050 motherboards between the drive mechs?
  9. Concerning the 2 types of 1050 drives (Taiwan/Hong Kong)... can you get away with exchanging the circuit boards between the different drive mechs?
  10. Genuine Atari 1050 Duplicator upgrade for sale. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265439469466?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e12000.m43.l6300&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=035034e9c2c843919f3e36d39decc641&bu=43216499228&exe=0&ext=0&osub=-1%7E1&crd=20211206100154&segname=12000&sojTags=ch%3Dch%2Cbu%3Dbu%2Cnqt%3Dnqt%2Cnqc%3Dnqc%2Cmdbreftime%3Dmdbreftime%2Ces%3Des%2Cec%3Dec%2Cexe%3Dexe%2Cext%3Dext%2Cexe%3Dexe%2Cext%3Dext%2Cosub%3Dosub%2Ccrd%3Dcrd%2Csegname%3Dsegname%2Cchnl%3Dmkcid
  11. What an amazing project! I cant wait for the final version! I have stock of all the major chips,
  12. In responding to DrVenkman's comment yes; absolutely you are correct about platinum being non-magnetic. I should have been more clear in my original statement; I remember that the small print in the original advertisement from way back did say that ACTUAL platinum was used in the chemical process of the recording media and its purpose was to increase the media's long - term durability / stability. i.e. idea was that the platinum component would keep the actual iron-oxide component stable / preventing degradation. With the results I have I have no reason to doubt that it was a success. Not only do the disks still work great, but they never developed "scratches" like other brands did.
  13. WOW this is the SECOND 1200XL this week that will sell for over $600 on ebay.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/304007273420?hash=item46c83edbcc:g:GOoAAOSwnVdgqod2
  14. I have been waiting for someone to ask this question! Here is my secret on floppy disks!! i have much experience in this area. I currently have 15 Atari floppy drives. 810s Stock/happy/and CHIP and 1050s Stock/ happy. I have also owned and used throughout the years INDUS GTs and XF551s. and I still use all them today.. I have used a HUGE array of floppy disk brands and will drop this here for everyone to know now.... In my direct experience, the BEST most durable highest quality floppies EVER made were the SYNCOM PLATINUM floppies. (NO CONTEST) (( The chemical formula of the recording media is made with actual Platinum-Oxide and the media is chemically stable and does not degrade))..... MY original open box from 1982------ ALL 10 them are still working and format 100% just like 1982 (all of them) They have been used throughout the years they are utterly amazing. The outer jackets never dried out either, due to higher quality materials and thickness. I am letting my secret go now, because I have actively collected a lifetime supply of these disks before opening my mouth.. They are the ONLY floppies I use and will ever use, here is my stash!
  15. My solution! I bought a lifetime supply of NOS or near-new DELL 24" monitors that have SVIDEO in-ports. aka the 2007 WFBP types .. On my 1200XLs - i perform the "1200XL simple video mod" (takes like 15 min) and the results are great for me.
  16. Hey everyone! great news, there here! She has finished and started production of the new covers! I created the 1200XL graphic for her so my art is now part of this..
  17. I have a copy of the software V7.25 ????? Any info in this?
  18. Hey everyone... we did it....! I worked with papa*nannysfunstuff and together, (her sowing and my artwork) she is now producing new 1200XL covers: I provided her with a 1200XL case for a template and I also created the 1200XL graphic file for her embroidery machine.. She sent me 2 of them at cost.. look: Please support her! https://www.ebay.com/str/papanannysfunstuff
  19. I remember loading it up a few times to look at it but never used it in a game.
  20. Hey everyone Just an update! I received word from her that she got her machine back up and running, so I mailed her the 1200XL case. Shouldn't be much longer.
  21. WOW-- Seriously, sometimes the depth of knowledge of some of our members is truly astounding. Thank you.
  22. Sherlock Homes once said, "Once you have eliminated the impossible, whatever is left must be the truth".. The odds of all 3 of your machines doing this at the same time are slim at best. What else do they have in common? a) the PS ... Try a genuine Atari PS. b) the composite cable itself? (have you tried --them on monitor-svideo yet?) c you said the TV was new????? could it be the TV???? composite is an afterthought today by the manufacturers.
  23. Here you go, as you can see, I need the "U" keycap, the post/plunger that is underneath and the spring.
  24. Friends, I have been working for awhile trying to put together a working 1200XL keyboard. I attempted to order the last 2 missing keys from BEST and they literally ran out of parts and I received only 1 of the keys I ordered! I now have a 99% working 1200XL keyboard that is missing JUST 1 KEY !!! ARg!!!!! :( My OCD is on FIRE!>...!!! ;( Is their ANYONE willing to offer / trade / accept payment for/ a 1200XL "U" keycap + the plunger + spring underneath? Colleenlover..
