  1. I am sad to report that as of this date, atgames is not providing review copies of their upcoming products .
  2. Have to agree that this game is not as rare as Birthday Mania. There are some serious collectors who have chimed in who respectfully speaking, know more about 2600 rarity. Wonder007 knows his stuff and is a good guy. Just my two cents.
  3. Just wanted to say that I have attempted to reach out to Hyperkin for an update and have heard ZILCH from them. Very frustrating communication at times.

  5. Just wanted to post here to let collectors know. Available for pre order now. Not going to be for everyone but looks like a decent product. 6. Having a blast doing these collector chat live videos. Hope to see you on the next one!
  7. Playing on classic gaming consoles outside was a blast!
  8. In fairness, the Retron 77 has only been out a few weeks, so there is alot of time to have people make the console be more compatible. They should have waited to release it. With that being said. the SD card slot plays alot more of the games and I have enjoyed it. I am looking forward to see what is released by Atgames and comparing the two.
  9. Looking at both the 2600 and Switch versions of Sky Skipper
  10. In this video, I compare some classics between the 2600 and 8-bit computer line.
  11. Here is the video of how it looks. Definitely would like to see an easier way to cycle through game files, but happy to see rom limitation removed. Retron 77 update.MOV
  12. Thanks for the update and can confirm that it does indeed work.
  13. I think that it is honest criticism to want the best of a product and to call a product out for its shortcomings. As a product reviewer, I grow tired of having a console that offers the opportunity to play old games only to limited by its own hardware limitations or things that should have been fixed before released. We can speak most with our wallet and request for something better. Unfortunately, sales and price points continue this trend of having these budget devices offer nostalgia at a sacrifice of the original experience. Here is hopefully better hardware in the future.
  14. Just recently playing Laser Gates on both I have to say that i really enjoy the 8 bit version.
  15. Just wanted community input here on what people feel are the best 8 bit "upgrades" of games that were provided on the both the 2600 and 8 bit computer lines. I have some in mind but wanted to hear from others.
  16. I unbox and test both my Adam Computer and Coleco Expansion Module #3. The results might be hard for some to see.
  17. Absolutely my honest thoughts too. Even an additional 3 months and have this released in the 4th quarter with some updates might have been a better move.
  18. There are alot of topics on the Retron 77. I am asking if it is time for the Retron 77 to have its own subforum? There will be many topics I believe that will pertain to this moving forward and wanted to ask if this is a good idea and if it can be implemented. Thoughts?
  19. I did a review of the console myself and do not disagree with what you are saying, though I have a much more optimistic viewpoint of the situation. Eventually many of these things can be fixed and are being fixed for the future. I do wonder why if more testing and time could have been used to offer a more updated product before release. Also, it would have been more transparent to have a compatibility list of what works/does not. In the current state, it many games work but a few notable ones do not. Not knowing that ahead of time will only add to the consumer frustration.
  20. I talk about the challenges of having a large game collection
  21. Bump this thread, I am looking for these items.
  22. Worked a little different with mine. First tried this with my test review unit. Had to unzip the file and then I replaced the files with the same name on my SD card on the R77. Wanted to ask what Stella 3.9.3 fixes on the console? Thank you for posting this!
  23. I would prefer the unit take original carts, but will support this being made either way.
