I own 3 ataris a 1040ste and 520 st and 520fm the prob i have my 1040 no longer boots up or the of the 520 they both have green light in when plugged in but no sound of booting from floppy of noise of search when no disk in i opened the 1040 and noticed on the psu theres a solidified pink stuff near one of the large black components and also round the copper like round parts of psu ive not looked inside 520 thats also light on but not working only one 520 works out of 3 i have the 1040 used to work fab in my midi setup music making i wish i could get it working hope someone can help me i miss using it
