  1. Didn't the duo debut in 1992? wish I still had mine. stupidly sold it and my vast collection of hu cards and import cd games to pay bills. anyway, regardless of whether or not a cd based console can read cd-rs, they shorten the life of the laser and other components. we had this same discussion on a dc forum about cd-rs
  2. I loved the tg-16, havinbg grew up playing it more than both my snes and 32-bit consoles. It was underappreciated back then, and even today is ignored. The console had sooo much going for it: had fun shooters, rps, and even Bonk, which I liked more than both sonic and mario. Best Bonk was the third one. Additionally, from my pov, there was soo many great titles, but one of the best is Dracula X, and blazing lasers. I also think that either nec or another company should bring out a compilation game of all of Bonk's tg-16, and other console games. I'd buy it. btw, does anyone know if tg-16 can be emulated on any modern consoles: like the dc, x-box, or even gamecube?
  3. Smurfs was on 2600?! Only one I was aware of was the one for the coleco, which though simple can be downright annoying and frustrating. Alas, I haven't beaten the coleco one, I doubt I have that much patience to do so.
  4. I really dig that blue power switch and the av mod for the colecovision. I'm guessing that with this mod that it doesn't do anything for the sound. right? btw, I'd be interested in having this mod done for my coleco; how much. pm please
  5. I like the new paint for the jag. I've painted dcs with krylon fusion, but never a jag. WELL, I tried to gut it to paint but could not figure out how to get that inner shield off; am I missing something?
  6. Maniac Mansion. Second would be Kid Icarus. I wouldn't mind if ninty brought that game back for the rev, or even on the ds. Oh, and capcom made some of the weirdest nes games, imo: Yo noid, and Little Nemo.
  7. I loved them both. The 16-bit era in gaming will always be my fav. It brought out the best in both companies. The snes had rpgs going for it: Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Zelda: a link to the past. While the genesis had sone killer side-scrollers, and imo, a better mascot in Sonic. Although, the sonic games didn't start getting good til the second one. And Super mario world>sonic 1 I also think its sad that while it wasn't technically a 16 bitter, the turbo grafx-16 was often overlooked when it came to that generation. I mean, it had some decent rpgs, and the Bonk game was just as good as ninty and sega's platformers.
  8. If its in decent condition and good working order, I'd love that popeye game, and maybe bump n' jump. $3 shipped?
  9. Would you consider doing colecos? I have been looking to get mine modded with a/v and only found www.vikingvideogames.com; and I think he's charging too much. Wish I could do it myself, but I'm an idiot.
  10. I bought mine when they first debuted. Loved it, even though I only had two games. The Lynx was a nice little portable, and its a shame that it wasn't around long enough to reach its potential. What is even more mind-boggling is how the b/white gameboy outsold all other color portables at the time. Second fav portable would have to be the pc engine gt.
  11. Well, my older brother had a 2600, and he did give it to me later, but my first console was the colecovision, which I still have. Best game on the 2600: Yar's Revenge. I still play it today by using the coleco expansion module #1
