1. Source It's amazing what can be done if you have a quality product.
2. Whoops. I was thinking if Sega would release a classic compilation with their racing titles... Yeah, Taito has more than enough material to make another compilation- Arkanoid, Puzzle Bobble, Battle Gear (sweet arcade racer)... but now that Square Enix bought Taito, I'd think that SQEnix would publish future Taito compilations... :!:
3. If it has arcade perfect ports of Daytona USA, Daytona USA 2, Sega Rally, Sega Rally 2 and Sega Super GT... I can die a happy man.
4. I'm all over the 360 like Naruto on ramen. I preordered the $399 pack, Project Gotham Racing 3 and Ridge Racer 6. I'm probably going to get rid of my old Xbox- the DVD drive broke, anyways.
5. Gorf is Midway, not Namco... http://www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=G&game_id=7983
6. Are you guys really dumb or something? I don't see it as rushed at all. The games look fine to me. You only probably think that way because it's coming out only 4 years after the original Xbox.
7. I hate you. Anyone that uses that Xbox 1.5 BS is just a PS3 apologist. The Xbox 360 will be great, just you watch.
8. I'm one of the few that voted for the Atari Games logo...
9. Voted other- the Atari Games logo from the mid-to-late '90s (jaybird3rd's avatar) looks modern without betraying the logo's heritage. That, and whenever I see that logo, I'm reminded of the greatest arcade racer not made by Namco or Sega- San Francisco Rush.
10. ... or pick up a copy of Midway Arcade Treasures 3...
11. http://www.gamedaily.com/xbox/preview/?id=...52&source=00001 Sounds like another winning classic compilation...
12. It's called Test Drive Unlimited, for the Xbox 360. Or perhaps you were thinking of PGR3...
13. Samurai Showdown, hands down. It gets the feudal Japan setting down cold, and it's so gory it makes Mortal Kombat look like Sesame Street. And the gameplay is great... one of the best 2D fighters I've ever played. I can't wait for the Xbox version of Samurai Showdown V to be released in a couple of days...
14. Well, the PC version should be out in a couple of days, and I don't think it's going to have that problem. You could build an arcade joystick to play the games the way they were intended to be played...
15. Like, duh, the game's going to be good. It's a much more refined version of PGR2, according to Gamesopt, and that alone has me happy, since I loved PGR2.
16. If I said it once, I've said it a million times: the cockpit view is a thing of beauty. This is the reason to buy an Xbox 360, my friends... http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/741/741362/vids_1.html
17. Actually, they are the PSOne versions, at least the Street Fighter games. I talked with some people on another forum I frequent who bought this, and they can confirm that. There are three things to note: 1.) The aforementioned loading times. 2.) The copyright screens say 1991 and 1998- the latter being the year the PSOne Street Fighter Collection 2 was released (which included the three Street Fighter 2 games on Capcom Classics Collection- the original Street Fighter Collection, released in 1997, had Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, and an enhanced version of Street Fighter Alpha 2.) 3.) Some Engrish quotes are fixed- specifically M. Bison's win quote. In the version on Capcom Classics, it reads, "Get lost! You can't compare to my power!" In the original, it should read, "Get lose!"
18. Activision's been good friends with Marvel for years now. I don't see that relationship ending soon. Also, Marvel licensed their characters to Microsoft for an upcoming MMORPG for the Xbox 360. Like I said, Marvel will whore out their licenses to anyone that ponys up.
19. You've forgotten the Vivendi Universal and Activision factor. They make games with the Marvel license, too.
20. Well, Capcom did release a collection of all the Darkstalkers games for the PS2, but that's in Japan only. Yeah, it's a bummer that we didn't get that, but I'm just assuming that Capcom is leaving that for another compilation. They, of course, have enough leftover material for a compilation of classic fighters: Super Street Fighter II, Super Street Fighter II Turbo, the Street Fighter Alpha trilogy, the games from the aforementioned Darkstalkers compilation (which includes all five games in the series), Knights of the Round, those two Dungeons and Dragons scrolling beat-em-ups (that license should be easy to reacquire), Warzard/Red Earth, and, of course, those Marvel Comics fighters that Capcom cranked out like clockwork in the mid-to-late '90s. Considering that Marvel will whore out their properties to any game publisher that's willing to pay, reacquiring those licenses should be a snap.
21. Here's a hands-on account of why the Xbox 360 controller is going to be the best controller next-generation. No boomerangs, no gimmeckry, just evolving an already-great design. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/652/652597p1.html
22. Kameo? I do think that another Banjo-Kazooie game is inevetable. Xbox 360 probably needs cutesy platformers, and B-K should fit the bill nicely, imho.
23. Ummm... since when is a light gun work? I move maybe 2 inches during gun games. The Rev wand is even better, since I won't be holding it at arm's length for the sake of accurate shooting(don't need a line of sight down it). And DDR has proven fairly popular, despite requiring way more physical activity. 934034 Have you even held one of those heavy light guns that Namco fancies in their Time Crisis arcade units? My arms are sore after a few minutes of playing! 937528 I've finished House of the Dead a bunch of times, and it has a big heavy gun. My arms got sore first when I started playing, but now I don't even notice when I use both guns (that's a good way to ramp the difficulty, by the way). 937537 Puh-leaze. The light guns Sega uses are pretty light compared to the Namco guns. Unless you're talking about the pump shotgun used in House of the Dead III. That sucker is heavy. My arms wear out about five minutes into the game, with all the shooting and pumping. Did that sound dirty?

25. 932741 I agree completely. Same for San Francisco Rush on the N64 932759 As much as I loved collecting all the keys in the N64 version (and yes, I did pull that off... ) I preferred the arcade version better. Same with Rush 2049. But getting back onto topic, I'll say Tekken 3. Nobody thought that it could be ported to the PS1... yet somehow Namco pulled it off and added in that Tekken Force mode and more playable characters, too. Namco is king at doing stuff like that.
