Midway Arcade Treasures coming for PSP
ferrarimanf355 replied to Shannon's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I'm interested in the upcoming Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe Edition for the PC. It's going to have all the games from MAT 2 and 3 and the major game retailers have it at a $20 price point. That's pretty good. -
I'm personally waiting for Blitz: The League myself. Anyone else?

You sir, have obviously never tried Pocky snacks. Thin wafer sticks covered in chocolate. More addictive than crack. Oh... http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/index.php...hives&date=last -

That looks like Pole Position II from the previous Museum release to me... -
A few of early posts did mention it, i thought i would just reinforce the recommendation. 905914[/snapback] Nobody mentioned by name. Correct me if I'm wrong.

For the love of God, why did it take until the post above me until someone mentioned Soul Calibur? You really don't need anything else on the Dreamcast... good times to be had by all...

The House of The Dead Question
ferrarimanf355 replied to NightDriver's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The arcade, PC and US saturn releases of HOTD1 let you change the blood color between red, green, blue, yellow and two other colors I'm unsure of. HOTD 2 and 3 only had red and green. I'm unsure of the Japanese Saturn releases of HOTD1, but I'm sure that the red blood was removed... correct me if I'm wrong... -

If this article is accurate, then Galaga '88 can be added to the list of games. I love that game... -
With the interchangeable faceplates on the X360, who knows?

Street Fighter / Mortal Kombat systems
ferrarimanf355 replied to Trip_Cannon's topic in Dedicated Systems
Okay, the Mortal Kombat one is pretty good. The only thing to note is that the D-pad ridges aren't really as bad as some people mention- I have no problem with it. Aside from that, yeah, everything else mentioned is accurate- the blood, gore and fatalities are present, the gameplay is arcade-perfect, and the graphics are between the Genesis and Super NES versions. I'd recommend it if you're a huge MK fan. -
I'm seriously considering getting one, if it's no more than $250. I'm already committed to getting an Xbox 360, though. (preordered)

Just in case you haven't seen the newest PGR3 video... http://www.bizarreonline.net/index.php?act...omments=1&id=42 Yes, it's real-time, running at 60 FPS.

So far, Xbox only. As I said earlier in this thread, if the Xbox can handle Doom 3, it can handle Half-Life 2. Besides, the 360 is getting Quake 4...

Dumb new video game law bans play by kids
ferrarimanf355 replied to Crimefighter's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Let me explain something: the court prescedents are in the ESA's favor. Similar rules were struck down in St. Louis County, Indinapolis and Washington State, and in each case, the local governments had to foot the bill for the ESA. St. Louis' bill I'm unsure of, but Washington had to foot half a million dollars in combined legal fees, and Indy had to cough up 700K dollars. The Free Expression Policy Project's website at fepproject.org has more info. Just click the media violence link on the top of the page. -

And... suprise, suprise! Ridge Racer 6 is coming to the Xbox 360, and no news of a PS3 version is in sight... Not much else has been confirmed, but Namco did mention Live multiplayer, content downloads (cars? tracks? car skins? Hopefully, all 3!) and released some renders of a car. You can find the renders of a Ferrari 360 Modena lookalike (possibly signaling that Namco's keeping to the Ridge Racer tradition of unlicensed cars) here. Now if you excuse me, I'll be playing classic RR tunes on my iPod... :blasts Rare Hero:
