No! Just one controller the old fashioned way. The only game that I’ll use 2 controllers is mocrosurgeon. I move the probe with the left disc and shoot with the right disc (simultaneously). And the same with Dracula. I move the zombie with my right disc. But I haven’t played those since the 90’s !!!

Hi Mr. Me! ... No, I can’t use that overlapping controller trick. It’s too bulky for me and it’s awkward because I never used that method (like Matt). However, I know a guy who knows a guy who Loves the overlapping controller trick! To each his own! Like Gentleman said... he loves it.... for Night Stalker, Discs of Tron and D&D; and I’ve heard that before !! And one day, I’ll break every record on this game (NOT) LOL. I was really good in 1983 but I’m a little less energetic at my age and my arms, shoulders and hands get tired so I can’t go on even if I wanted to. For example, I could probably match Matt on Worm Whomper skill-wise but my fingers and thumbs just cannot handle the pain like when I was a teenager. if I was competing in 1983/84 ..... Man .... I would be some competitor !!!!!

It’s one thing to run around the forum at one million points. It’s another thing at 2 and 3 million and 4 million and so on. Even though the game doesn’t get more difficult, It gets more and more intense as my score climbs higher ! I assume that’s natural for this game

Eventually, I either get hit with a brown disc and I get stabbed by my orange friend.... or the orange guys swarm me while I’m getting my disc back and they stab me together like I’m a shish-kabob ! I definitely cannot go on forever LOL ! plus I have a well-documented shaking problem when my score gets high and a game gets intense.

Try overlapping the controllers. I heard some players swear by that method. I agree with Matt though. For me it’s too awkward to do that. And I’m feeling that the advantage is so slight compared to balancing two controllers. It doesn’t hurt to try it !! Let us know your thoughts!

I did a little of both. I read the article, but it was just too much info to keep the game fun. I didn’t want to resort to making tables and schedules. For me it was mostly a reminder of what to do and confirmation that I was on the right path.... because I did play Utopia as a kid. But yes, it was helpful. And would be essential for a newish player. congratulations to Biff on the Utopia and Matt on Worm Whomper... you both killed it! And you both beat my score on two games that I’m pretty good at; so a hearty congratulations !!!!! 🏆

It's hard to read but I printed "Aug 31 / 20" in my best wormy printing. My hands and arms are shaking !!!!

I'm still shaking from that jumpy olive butterfly, the massive black snail and that skinny red worm. The game could have ended a dozen times before this score ! I was holding on to one corn with the lights-off, So half a corn !!! That's when it gets really nerve-wracking !! I had a good game ... but luck was on my side on this one .

Guys your not going to believe this.... last night I played a Worm Whomper. Beat the high score and when I went to take the screenshot I kicked the table, and the Intellivision reset to the title screen. Matt, please tell me that you beat your score so I can feel better!
