Colecovision HSC week #18 - Mr. Do!
duncantoml replied to theking21083's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
Does that mean that you rolled it each time at 650,000? That would make it 2,755,650 is that correct? Yeah, I would figure it as 2,755,650 Mr. Do! does have a kill screen, but it's just a black screen. To reach it, the game has to be rolled 6 or 7 times depending on how many centers are gotten. The kill screen is 256 ( N006 or O006 if I remember right). -

Mr. Do on the Colecovision has a bug where the score resets around 650K. There is no exact value that it will happen, but the 650,000 is a close number. So how do you want to count it, 650,00 times roll over? -

Colecovision HSC week #16 - Root Beer Tapper
duncantoml replied to theking21083's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
Every so many empty glasses, a customer will lay down money. IT really just looks like a green spot on the bar. Then just run down the bar and get it. Then part or all the customers will turn and watch the show at the top of the screen. You can't serve them if their backs face you, so you can use this time to collect all the empties and serve the customers that are NOT watching the show. -

Tapper can be rolled and is pretty easy to do, but to do so you must stay on one screen and just serve drinks and collect glass and money over and over and..... I'm assuming that is the technique that was used. I asked about what the level was reached to get the score but nothing been posted yet. I didn't feel this technique was in the spirt of the game, so I chose to clear levels which may have cost me the top score. -

Very few copies were released, but it is out there. A friend of mine does have one. Lode Runner was also released by the same guy for the Colecovision. Again very few copies. Luckly I run across that one a few years back. It's called Penguin Adventure...read here:http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/penguin.htm Penguin Adventure was for the MSX system, not the CV. I know someone that has a copy. It's titled Penguin Land, Not Penguin Adventure.

The pics are a little small, but if I'm not mistaken those aren't any of the the snap-on variant stick adapters, those are the Injoy-A-Stick version. Installation requires removal of the silver sticker on the original controller knob, removal of the screw holding the original knob in place, swap the original knob with the stick, and re-install the screw. I've got a couple pairs of them and they're not bad. The extra length makes throwing a direction a little easier than the original low profile knobs. There was also a version called "Co-Sticklers" that can be found at atari2600.com https://www.atari2600.com/item--ColecoVisio...--PROD2174.html -
Every Mouse Trap cart I've ever had has this issue, clean or not. Even the cart I bought new in the 80's when it came out would do it. Most of my games messed up after very high scores, but it can happen at any score. Anyway, I believe it's the game itself.
