  1. Rolled it 4 times plus 155,650

Does that mean that you rolled it each time at 650,000? That would make it 2,755,650 is that correct?

Yeah, I would figure it as 2,755,650

Mr. Do! does have a kill screen, but it's just a black screen. To reach it, the game has to be rolled 6 or 7 times depending on how many centers are gotten. The kill screen is 256 ( N006 or O006 if I remember right).

  2. Tip money? How come I didn't see any of that when I was playing? All I got from customers was empty glasses (lousy bums).

I thought it would be better to clear the levels as quickly as possible, but I'm thinking now that that isn't the best strategy for this game...

Every so many empty glasses, a customer will lay down money. IT really just looks like a green spot on the bar. Then just run down the bar and get it. Then part or all the customers will turn and watch the show at the top of the screen. You can't serve them if their backs face you, so you can use this time to collect all the empties and serve the customers that are NOT watching the show.

  3. Sorry for the delay guys. This game will go on until next Thursday at 1 AM Eastern. I hope that you enjoy this weeks game.

Note: doubledown on his first week in the Colecovision HSC has managed to do the unlikely. He is the first to defeat our champ duncantoml.

Tapper can be rolled and is pretty easy to do, but to do so you must stay on one screen and just serve drinks and collect glass and money over and over and..... I'm assuming that is the technique that was used. I asked about what the level was reached to get the score but nothing been posted yet.

I didn't feel this technique was in the spirt of the game, so I chose to clear levels which may have cost me the top score.

  4. Hi...

Never heard about a "Penguin Land" release for ColecoVision.

    Only "Antarctic Adventure" from 1984.

I mean "Penguin Land" came out for MSX in 1985.

    :D

Very few copies were released, but it is out there. A friend of mine does have one.

Lode Runner was also released by the same guy for the Colecovision. Again very few copies. Luckly I run across that one a few years back.

    It's called Penguin Adventure...read here:http://www.digitpress.com/reviews/penguin.htm

Penguin Adventure was for the MSX system, not the CV.

I know someone that has a copy. It's titled Penguin Land, Not Penguin Adventure.

  9. I saw this on craiglist......it is an awsome deal but whats with the sticks protruding from the controllers?

The pics are a little small, but if I'm not mistaken those aren't any of the the snap-on variant stick adapters, those are the Injoy-A-Stick version. Installation requires removal of the silver sticker on the original controller knob, removal of the screw holding the original knob in place, swap the original knob with the stick, and re-install the screw. I've got a couple pairs of them and they're not bad. The extra length makes throwing a direction a little easier than the original low profile knobs.

There was also a version called "Co-Sticklers" that can be found at atari2600.com
