  1. If you guys want an outdoor retro game, with graphical consistency and unlimited replay value, have you checked out Lee Carvallo's putting challenge? I love that someone actually took the time to make it. https://aaron-demeter.itch.io/lee-carvallos-putting-challenge
  2. Maybe some goofy action animations. LEGO has gone with the super-smooth animation choice. I feel like Playmobil might fit perfectly with a goofy stop-motion kind of look. I'm just spit balling.
  3. How about: "Capture that summer BBQ feeling, anytime of the year, with Amico Cornhole! Whether it's raining cats and dogs or the middle of a blizzard, you can feel like your out in the backyard on a warm summer day! Toss those digital bean bags, inside your house, without worrying about knocking over a single lamp! Pick up your own Amico console, today, and tap into an endless summer!".
  4. There's been a lot of business/management talk over the past few pages. This instructional video proves an excellent primer for those interested in honing their leadership skills. It really should be part of any MBA program.
  5. Oops..double topic/post. Feel free to remove.
  6. What's everyone's high score? I didn't realize that the arcade mode had an ending but I just "beat" the game. The other 10 folks must have had a better run with more enemies destroyed, etc. This leaderboard is from PC.

  8. We'll see. In other news, I just cracked the top 50. I get that it's teeny-tiny community but the leaderboards are still fun.
  9. I just picked up Caverns, on Steam, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm going to try it, on a big screen with a game pad, but I've been enjoying it on my laptop and it controls really well with the keyboard. I never wound up buying a VCS (I was close, when it was on super sale) but I'm a genuine fan of the ReCharged series.
  10. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhht...So because Kid Rock existed in the 90s that erases REM, Weezer, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, etc.?
  11. Isn't the Atari 5200 physically massive? If you're looking for a case-mod project, you could try to use a 5200 shell to house the VCS board along with your GPU...
  12. Your argument seems very similar to people who claim that music was "better" when they were young. Shockingly, people who were coming of age, in the 60s, tend to prefer 60s music. Ditto for folks who hit their stride in the 90s, the 00s, etc. I don't think you need a PhD in sociology or musicology to recognize that trend. Those same folks tend to dislike contemporary music. I've seen the same basic argument for cars, clothing, movies, TV, etc. You mentioned that you were 15 in the late 90s. This is a wild idea but do you think that your connection to the classics, from that era, may be stronger because of nostalgia?
  13. I did read that one, back in High School. If I recall correctly, there was an interesting passage about opium dens. Now that's got me thinking about the book "The Good Earth" by Pearl S. Buck and the opium den scene, in "Tombstone". Now that I think about it: Tombstone has a little scene-within-a-scene that provides a primer on Faust. I bet that Tombstone is playing, on TBS or TNT, right now. https://youtu.be/3GIuogzhsvU?t=160
  14. Dang, I need to read Faust. It sounds more engaging than Farkle.
