  1. I find the amount of acting out you're doing here very strange. It really seems you just want to cause more drama or maybe just try and defame me for very personal reasons. I know you feel empowered here at AA but let's get this out of the way because it won't change no matter how many times you repeat it. I have never said the Jag BT works with all games but Atari Karts. Before the Jag BT went on sale I tested it with all retail cart games and several CD games. I specifically named those games that had issues in the documentation. You can't disprove this or prove what you're lying about so you're doubling down over and over. That's not how facts work, get over it and move on or be more constructive and contact me offline. I also never said Jacques should take responsibility for your homebrew games not working but Jacques is the creator of BlueRetro, which I pay into to support the project and to get support. It was absolutely the correct move to include him on the discussion, since it wasn't a product issue. On top of that, I knew he'd have a direct explanation. If it was a product related issue I'd absolutely troubleshoot myself. Either way, if you brought this to me directly after you purchased the adapter I would have absolutely offered you a return. Which brings me to my next point, you never brought this to my attention directly and I had zero idea about your particular issues with some of these homebrew games until that tweet. I don't keep track of random threads on AA. In fact, I didn't even know you existed until you said something on an unrelated tweet MONTHS after you bought the Jag BT. Point is, you should have contacted me directly through my website if you were unhappy instead of acting the way you have been. It's that simple. I changed the text on the documentation to say that some homebrew games had issues AFTER your tweet to let people know what you were reporting to me. Again, it's very strange that you keep trying to twist my words here. The polling issue in some homebrew games won't get fixed because you're refusing to work together. Just as Jacques told you on Twitter, the physical limitations to the ESP32 won't change. However, what can change is future code. I looked you up, you're a developer so there is absolutely zero logical excuse for how you've been acting here. You should know all of this already. Instead of throwing these fits, you should be working together with us to make future games functional vs fighting limitations of the ESP32 at the heart of BlueRetro. Jacques has implemented the 6-axis (6D Controller) protocol and it would be really cool to see that in a new game. To everyone else here on the tread, sorry but I'm done. It's pretty clear this thread is no longer constructive in anyway to the original title and is only serving as some one else's personal soap box. You can all reach me on Twitter or email through my website any time.
  2. You can use the way back machine to check. You never brought this up to me personally except for months later on a random non-related Tweet where I tried to be helpful but you only wanted to make a scene, much like you're doing here. I sent you to the GitHub because that is where you need to open a ticket so the creator of the project/firmware can bug fix. Which he also directly replied to you stating why the issue existed. If you had emailed me about all of this back when you noticed the issues with some Homebrew games, I would have offered you a return. I couldn't test *all* homebrew. I honestly didn't know the homebrew scene was big on the Jag.
  3. Using quotes means you're literally quoting something. Can you show me where on the product page I said that about the Jag BT? You can't, because I didn't and I said the same thing to you Twitter a few weeks ago...
  4. Ha, that's rich coming from you. 😜 I honestly didn't mean anything by it other than I have nothing else I can offer this conversation. If @42bs is unhappy, he should talk to SAG about returning it. And honestly, I see your comment as trying to start something here. Also, I had an emoji after that first line you quoted. Emoji's should indicate to you that I'm being sarcastic or funny....
  5. Of course I've read your comments but we're not talking about the same thing, which I understand but it seems you do not. All I'm saying is PAL Jag games look squished (distorted) compared to NTSC 60hz games: If you don't think the image on the right looks distorted, than I got nothing for you. This image was taken from someone else's comparison video on YouTube (linked above) and has nothing to do with cropping, Jag2HD, etc. Here is another example from "Max Fixes Stuff": (source: https://youtu.be/z61K94SwJts) You can clearly see that the 50hz image of the bag, text, etc is vertically distorted compared to the 60hz image. This is one of the reasons people do a 60hz switch mod on their PAL systems. So my entire point was, PAL games have always looked distorted compared to their 60hz counterparts. I'll make sure to let them know it's distorted in the other direction than what they're used to. 🤪
  6. You're not understanding or listening to what I'm saying. I'm not saying the cropping is a PAL issue. I'm saying the examples of NATIVE PAL Jag games I've seen look distorted compared to NTSC games, period. Nothing to do with cropping. Nothing to do with the Jag2HD. If you want to continue to argue with me though, why not DM me? Save everyone else subscribed here from this back and forth.
  7. We're beating a dead horse here... Might be a language break down but I never said cropping is distortion. I was referring to the native output of 50hz Jag games and how they clearly look distorted (just look at that doom example above) when compared to 60hz counterparts. I did test the adapter with an NTSC jag modded with a region switch. I saw the crop as typical weird image from PAL Jags when compared to the 60hz versions. I'll add a disclaimer tomorrow about the crop.
  8. Fair enough but the point I was making is PAL signal out from the Jag is already distorted.
  9. By "flickering" in the GD menu I think you mean the highlighted bar/text shimmers a little when you move the cursor. That's part of the smoothing. PAL games will be a little cropped but from what I understand about Jag's in PAL regions, the images were always a bit distorted. Here's Doom 60hz vs 50hz: (source: https://youtu.be/S8Wk5r87njs)
  10. That does look much clearer and closer to what I see on my TVs. Hmm I don't believe there's a way to change sync. I can take a look into but it would probably require a redesign of the product.
  11. Sorry to hear you're disappointed. 😞 I don't know what SAG's return policy is but maybe reach out to them. The Jag2HD uses the same RGB signals a SCART cable, so the picture wouldn't look any better unless the TV you're using has a poor scaler in it. Most modern TVs have excellent scalers but add input lag. The Jag2HD was meant to be a relatively inexpensive and easy plug and play solution for the Jag. For the best picture, you'd want to use a JagAIOA (or Plus) Amped with a high end scaler like a RetroTink 5x. Of course that would be closer to $400 USD.
  12. Gladly! 3DO BT: https://stoneagegamer.com/3do-bt-3do-bluetooth-adapter-humble-bazooka.html
  13. I've been so focused on promoting the 3DO BlueRetro adapter that I forgot to promote the Jag2HD 😬 If these sell out I have another batching I'm working on for Stone Age Gamer.
  14. I can't really say since I don't own that particular device to compare.
  15. Some news. I've partnered with Stone Age Gamer for most of my products. They have some more connections so I've finally been able to source a decent amount of components to do a small run of these, which will be sold on their site. Hopefully more info soon.
  16. Thanks everyone who showed interest in testing the Jag2HD. All test units are now spoken for. I may do a round two depending on how well round 1 goes.
  17. This project has taken a back seat to other projects due to many factors but primarily because of supply shortages. I'm hesitate to continue working on it in its current form vs just releasing kits for people to make their own. To help me gauge this, I'm looking for 4 or 5 testers to purchase the adapter at a discount and provide me with their feedback. If you're interested please DM me and I can go over the details.
  18. Well done! I was hoping to see the insides but I can imagine getting it all buttoned up once was good enough. When I was looking into the Neo Pad, I was actually going to create a new bottom shell to allow everything to fit. All that aside though, the D-Pad is the biggest deterrent. Even SNK said F it and used an analog stick with their latest version along with shuffling around the face buttons.
  19. Ohh let me know if you ever want to part ways with that AES. Mine looks like it drinks heavily and doesn't remember where it's been for most of the day.
  20. Don't worry, I also have something in the works for tying up the wire As for wire splicing wires with those quick splice, like those automotive types, I'll let someone else make that kind of mod. lol To do any of this right you'd want a solid connection, which in my opinion means soldering OR better yet a new drop in PCB. That would probably drive prices way up since it would be two PCBs and a flex cable. Plus you'd still need to modify the shell for things like USB connection and LED status. Almost 30 yr old plastic hates being cut into. For the Neo Geo Pad I had originally designed a replacement drop in PCB, no soldering needed but there's next to no space for things like a battery and it's D-Pad switches are impossible to find. If you redo a Neo Geo Pad you better have clicky buttons or people will freak out. lol
  21. Like I mentioned, the former is in the works. The latter I thought about and even provided a Poll on twitter between a box or internal type mod but the majority of people don't have the skill set to mod their controllers even if it was simple soldering. So the majority voted for a "box" type vs internal type mod. Maybe down the road I'll offer both. Personally, I think the box type makes the most sense because you're not forever converting a perfectly good controller and you'd only have to buy one box for all different types of controllers. That impacts the Neo Geo a little more since it had the gamepad, arcade stick, and bean stick.
  22. This is in the works. I'm doing this for the Neo Geo first since it's a bit easier will less components. Here's a video of me using a Neo Geo CD pad plugged into my WIP BT adapter and using it via bluetooth on RetroArch: Proof of concept
