1. The INTV I and III are almost exactly the same, except the INTV III has a power indicator light. The INTV II is smaller than the two, and it can't play any games made by Coleco.

my Intv II can play coleco games without a problem. the intv ii also has removable controllers so if the controllers break you dont have but a whole new system

  2. I noticed this particular controller was not listed in the 2600 - Controllers. It looks like the atari Joystick CX40 but with a larger/different handle/grip it has that hex? circle with TOP written on it and two fire buttons.

i got one that resembles that but not the same hm... anyways AA isnt gonna put all the controllers on the site there are just so many bootleg, third party controllers made...back then everybody mady Atari controllers

    925922

    *sighs*

It's not a bootleg just because it doesn't carry the Atari Seal of Quality or something(Yes, I know this is mixing of markets, bear with me).

It's only a bootleg if it's an active attempt to ripoff an existing. The closest I know to Atari-brand 2600 stikcs are Gemsticks, and even they aren't close enough to be bootleg Atari sticks.

i never say it was a bootleg..what i said was there are so many controllers that were made officals, bootlegs, and third parties that AA isnt going to list them all so why dont read a post before you comment on it saying it wrong its very simple.....am i clear?

getting back on topic it could be a controller someone customized from the atari controller and the archer (i believe thats the company but i cant check cause i sold it with my dupe atari) controller where the top/joystck is from

  3. i bought an Nes at a yard sale for 2 bucks...i went home and tested it and the 72 pin is gone so im just gonna use it for parts but i looked underneath the chip and saw the expansion port which i imgaine was for the disk drive before it was scrapped..but my question is...is the port usable i know theres a piece of plastic covering it, is the plastic a covering or the part that never was?

  5. I heard other people saying the 32x is a pretty bad system but I just got one and I think it rocks.  Iv'e heard some say it's wobbly in the genesis 2: barely.

I hear some say it freezes after a half hour of game play: no way.  Please tell me why all these people say it stinks.

    924894

the reason its wobbly in the Genesis 2 is because your missing a part they makes it more sturdy..its like a base.

i like the 32X im getting 16 boxed games for it including Star wars, Knuckles, Doom, virtual fighter

  6. i think all Atari promo's have the engraving on it mine has it, but mine is not made in sunnyvale its made in tawian....hmm i think what you have is a frankenstiened one

    923635

Let me be sure I have this straight: you have a console with the "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY NOT FOR RESALE" hot stamp, and made in Taiwan on the sticker??? That's odd, I'm fairly sure I read here somewhere that promo consoles were only made in Sunnyvale. Maybe yours is frankensteined, or maybe there's an Atari Guru on here who can set us all straight!

    923637

    I've got one too:

    http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...t+another+promo

I've seen another one just like it on ebay... stamped, chrome switches, yellow piping, made in Taiwan. Orange serial # sticker. I'm pretty sure it's not Frankensteined (well, not by anyone other than Atari, anyway)...

    925888

Thank you for agreeing with me and setting the record straight

yes mine is engraved with "FOR PROMOTIONAL USE ONLY NOT FOR RESALE" and has a sticker that reads MADE IN TAIWAN, sticker doesnt look like it has not been moved or lifted ever, it has the chrome switches and yellow piping..WELL if this has been frankenstiened someone did a pretty damn good job on it..hell they did a job so well it looks like ATARI themselves had made it themselves! you read they were only made in sunnyvale on the AA website where they have no picture......now you have it straight!

  8. Its an alright system.  They really should have put a backlight in it.  I am constantly struggling to get just the right lighting level and angle.  I have almost every title for it and here are the ones that a pretty damn good in my opinion:

    Monopoly

    Scrabble

    Resident Evil

    Solitaire

Lights Out (Same thing as Okie Dokie on the 2600)

    Wheel of Fortune

    Jeopardy!

As you might sumise the titles with minimal movement on screen and which use the touch screen are the best of the bunch.

All of arcade conversion titles are complete garbage because the screeen can't display them without heavy blurring.

The port of Sonic the hedge hog is impressive.  Its really the complete game at full speed in blurry greyscale.

Jurassic Park is probably the worst video game ever created for any system in all of history past present and future.

The name Tiger Game.com is probably the worst name choice in Video Game history.  How the hell are you supposed to search for that on the internet?  Sheesh!  There is not a unique word in the bunch.  I suspect it helped the demise of the system.

    Cheers!

i almost got the complete set too how many you missing? i'm 5 short of the collection

  9. I'm sure there is more. Which brand of 3do are we talking about?

cause I have the Goldstar, the one that is supposedly very problematic, but I haven't had any trouble with it since I bought it about three years ago.

Best 3do model is the top loading one by panasonic cause it is built well and plays bootlegs well. Then again, the sanyo one is pretty damn nice as well; my friend has one, and its super sexy.....

    924704

i got the panasonic the first one released

  10. yeah i just got a boxed jaguar off my friend who bought it sealed i got it with six games including Dragon (boxed w/manuals), Super burnout (boxed w/ manuals), pitfall, cypermorph, checkered flag, flip it.....out of all these games i just got Dragon is my favorite....can anyone suggest some good games to buy? i plan on buying Doom, Wolfenstien 3d, and AVP but other than these are there any other good games?

  11. my opinion of the game.com is that tiger has a chance to make it great but they blew it...its an alright system that coulda/shoulda been alot better than it was

for those of you that dont know what a Game.com is its a black and white portable system put out by tiger electronics, it had a touch screen with several built in features some of the games were Resident Evil 2, Sonic Jam, Duke Nukem, Monopoly, centipede, scrabble, wheel of fortune, and frogger....i also believe that the system had 256 shades of gray for the color.

edit: my bad madden was never released for the system it was suppose to have come out but it didnt along with several other titles

  12. The Lynx has far more good games than bad ones, a really good collection in fact probaly the best quality of any Atari machine. Near enough all the Tengen arcade conversions are excellent: STUN Runner, Roadblasters, XYBots, Hydra, Hard Drivin', Paperboy, Klax, Pi-Fighter, Road Riot 4WD, A.P.B, Missile Command/Super Asteroids etc.

The Handmade Software sports games are all fantastic: Awesome Golf, Malibu Bikini Volleyball, Jimmy Connors Tennis. As are the 2 Shadowsoft Games Joust, Robotron 2084.

Apart from some of the other games already mentioned there are some brilliant Homebrews out too such as T-tris, Pokermania, Alpine Games

    922410

well ill be on the look out for these games thanks
