+Stephen, it looks like you are a joker or I missed something? Peter

trub, I found an additional issue. When I run BASIC XE 4.2 ROM from SIDE3 Loader and restart SDX 4.49e and activate TD, after CAR command the Extension file is loading with short "colored junk" on the monitor and the BASIC starts up also, seemingly functional, but the picture is blinking with 1 second period with colored fade mosaic, how the DATA/TIME bar on the top is updating. I saw this effect with MS Basic with SIDE2. But now MS Basic is perfectly working with DATE/TIME bar together and the BASIC XE has that totally same issue. Peter

Jon, Maybe you misunderstood. I am not ignoring AtariAge forum. You are right, lots of valuable information is there - for every one who are interested in special issues - which are probably not in the center of my interests. But momentarily if there is no update, no reason to go there to spend time. If the update will be there, depending on my interest I will surf on pages. To read in circles questions/answers on not finished SIDE3 does not solve the issues of SIDE3 - because it is exclusively your field and I cannot help you in this interesting job - How you could see I reported my findings and I am waiting for solutions following up just your page, where you will put updates in future. To see progress with date indication is fully satisfactory for me to see, the project is not dead-ended, there is some progress and time expectation you finish /solve it. Now, I rarely sitting down to my ATARI, because the issues what I am waiting for solution on are disturbing, already known by you by me also. Just experimenting when I know, it is not working, also wasting time. I try to find different way to fill my time usefully ... I guess, it is understandable, like your deep interest to deal with forum and people, my interest can be totally different. If I can I happily help you, but I am afraid just with findings and reporting them. Sorry for honest opinion, my intention is not undercut, undervalue your excellent work and efforts and enthusiasm to work with AtariAge hobbyists, just I would like to use my own time efficiently. That small thing with actualization on you webpage could be very helpful - but, I guess, not only for me. Lots of people will appreciate it. Sincerely, Peter

Helo, I updated SDX 4.49e in my SIDE3 with version from 11-20-2020. Finally the TD is working correctly. I am not sure, the boot issue is belonging to DLT or it is part of the U1MB SIDE3 update from Jon? a) BOOT ERROR text rolls after physical start of ATARI. Solution: Pushing Reset button on SIDE3 + RESET on ATARI b) Updating DATE - ATARI freeze. Solution: Pushing Reset button on SIDE3 + RESET on ATARI The entered date is correct after restart of ATARI c) Update TIME - ATARI freeze. Solution: Pushing Reset button on SIDE3 + RESET on ATARI The entered Time is correct after restart of ATARI Physical restart does not influencing once entered Date and Time. For now, just this 3 things. Thank you, Peter

Jon, I really appreciate every help. Maybe it is understandable, how you also expect understanding your side, I also have limited time to surf on AtariAge (it is very rare, really I am happy if I find time for my hobby and not wasting time with endless investigations for elementary info). For that reason I rather go to check your or DLT's webpages, because that access is fast, symple and clear to find answer - if it is (of course) ) there. What I would like to see there it is just an actualized (dated) info, about the progress avoiding users to search with no end on crowded by mostly not interesting text overstuffed forums. Like you, others also are fighting to have time for their things to do in their daily life. If the people see some short words showing life on project, it does not need any other writing explanation, searching in tremendous information on Forums. If I really need really something special to know, what is maybe only on AtariAge, I will go there to search for it. But in this case why to do it, if the major source of info has its place on your or DLT webpage? And - of course - if it works that way what I am proposing here, you never need to waste time answering on (stupid) questions ... and maybe to deal with some disappointed people, like me Anyway, your projects are really great I appreciate it a lot, they helped me to go back to my old hobby with ATARI after decades. Thank you, Peter

trub, I would like to be sure, this update (alpha) has corrected/included ULTIME.SYS or SIDE3CLC.SYS ... of course, I will check it. On the preliminary SDX 4.49e TD failed (Time/Date info on the top of window). Also, when I turn on ATARI (by the switch), it started with BOOT ERROR rolling on the monitor. Thank you, Peter

It is not a problem, if some one is interested to read lots of different info - let do it for him/her. Why do I need to access to the forum, if there is a well prepared webpage to have easy and updated info for every one. In the forum every info related to updates can be pointed directly to the main source of common info for every one. The forum surfers and the other people, who are not interested to read forums, will be fully satisfied. ... I really wasting time to writing here about an obvious thing ... Sorry. Peter

In addition: The named webpage is: https://atari8.co.uk/apt/side3/ If someone is a fun of Forums, let them to surf on any forums (finally it is a type of hobby also ) and notify the readers by giving the direct address for updates. I do not see big issue with this way. It is a question of ONE simple click on the link to get to updates. It will satisfy the forums' surfers and other people (like me) to find what every one wants to know or download ... Peter

"I already do what he suggests and check the "Notify me of replies" granted I do that for a lot of threads, so the biggest sender to my inbox is AtariAge. I always wonder if Al will get mad at me for marking so many threads." 😛 I did it, thanks. Jon advised to go to "topics". ... I do it many time, Using "SIDE3 preorder" or "SIDE 3 preorder" and it gets me to the totally different pages, hard to find something, related to this "topics", for that I am disappointed with this type of communication. Off course, it can be interesting for others to read opinions, needs of others, but I would like only to update things for SIDE3, U1MB, simply just find the source without searching in tremendous texts on the forum. The direct connection to the updates and related communication could be welcomed by others also - I guess. Why that concrete webpages are needed if the info is scattered in the forum? If so, I do not see reason for it. Peter
-
Jon, you are right, if it is easy to find something on AtariAge. Every time, when I get there, takes lots of time to find where is the last page where I left questions. The other thing, is the answering, most of time I do not see button, line to write question, answer to directly attach my question there. Now I turned on "Notify me of replies", if I receive notification by e-mail, of course, it is easy to connect to discussion. Not that is the issue. The issue is, when I get to the forum after lots of days, so many communication is there and I do not want to waste time searching, where is the info, what I really want to read, or where did you put some new updates. Is it so hard to put that updates on you very clear webpage? I do not need more, just this, other things are really out of my interest ... Best regards, and thank you Peter

OK Jon and sorry, I am asking only for that reason, because the latest update what you released was only on AtariAge, not on your webpage and after that you wrote, it is the question of a week (next weekend) to solve issues. I hope, the final (or at least better version) will be published on your webpage - first! - not on the Forum. To search in scattered info on AtariAge pages is extremely time eating, what I cannot afford next to my other daily responsibilities. Please, give that info on your webpage also because to find any info there is straightforward on your well organized pages. Finally anyone can there find fast infos. Of course it is nice to read lots of opinions and special needs of others but it is a tremendous wasting time, not efficient if some one does not have interest about that. Thank you and I am waiting for the good news Peter

Jon, Every day I am checking your and DLT's website for update. Is there some progress? DLT is not answering to bugs, I also cannot see updates on your site ... so, was the project of SIDE3 stopped? Maybe I am searching for updates on wrong places ? Thank you, Peter

Hi Thom, Thank you for description, finally, I went step-by-step over all and tried to imagine the function. I made also a NET.BAT file including SSID and Password. Despite of all try, still I am not able to get to the internet, just to scan the WiFi names (over 20, 2 of them I my with strong signal, but that's it). I tried to find some function to check what frequency is there what the FujiNet is sensing, or how can I change it on this unit, if accidentally there is 5GHz. It looks like, it is able to work only with 2.4GHz (?), hard-wired for it. I do not know, how hard is it to have there a command to choose which frequency the user has. The modern WiFis are working with both frequencies, probably FujiNet is designed only for 2.4GHz ? ... I need help to understand , how can I use my WiFi network with FujiNet, otherwise it is totally useless for me ... ;( Peter
-
I am confused with FujiNet configuration and how can I setup it to work. Does not matter my two WiFi connections are appearing with strong signal I am not able to connect to the website, it always shows me "Connect Fails". I have together 2.4GHz and 5GHz capability on my WiFi. The author of HW wrote me I should have only 2.4GHz access, but I am not able turn of 5GHz on my modem. How I am familiar with this issue, my other equipment automatically are choosing the right frequency for communication. It looks like FujiNet is not able to do that. When I turn on ATARI with SpartaDOS and I use DIR command, it prints out the listing of 31 com executable, but I am not able to find the documentation, how to use them. I expect, there is at least one which can give me the possibility to correctly set up the connection ... May I ask some one to give me info, where can I get description of files? Thank you. Peter The files are (I guess, they are in some ROM in FujiNet): CONFIG, FCD, FCONFIG, FEJECT, FESCLK, FHOST, FINFO, FLD, FLH, FLS, FMALL, FMOUNT, FNET, FRESET, FSCAN, NCD, NCOPY, NDEL, NDEV, NDIR, NMKDIR, NPWD, NREN, NRMDIR, NTRANS, NBAUDLOCK, RDIDV, RLISTEN, RSNIFF, TIME

Please, verify updates for FujiNet download files. I am not able to download any files, because AVG virus protection blocks to do it. See attachment

Jon, Is there something new about SIDE3 update? On your webpage the red notification is still there. DLT guys did not answered on any my e-mails, inquiries. So, probably no progress on SDX449e, Peter

#FujiNet Firmware Update Information
KPeter replied to mozzwald's topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
The firmware update at https://fujinet.online/download is infected by URL:Blacklist ... Please, verify! Peter -
Yes Jon, the reason, why I posted it in this place. 😊 But, of course, I will report it to DLT. Take care, Peter

Jon, are there some new updates on SIDE3 ? (Side3clk.sys missing ... OSS ROM, CAR for Basic XE is not really functional) Thank you, Peter
-
Hi Jon, I hope I correctly accessed to "SIDE3 pre-order" communication group. I try to answer to 1.-3. 1. Nothing to do with me. Lotharek should have told you this. DLT/Candle are responsible for SDX/RTC drivers. 2. BASIC XE extensions work with OSS 'type B' BASIC XE cart, but not with 034M type for reasons I do not know. I suggest using BASIC XE 4.1. 3. Are you using U1MB and the U1MB-SIDE3 firmware I published in the pre-order thread? Again - I told Lotharek to direct you to this. Presumably 1. I already sent notification to DLT. My finding: They used an old version of TD.COM with date 4-08-16 (TD.MAN 7-05-20), rather a newer version in SDX449 (COM: 13-03-17; MAN: 17-07-16), so it was mixed up. 2. I am using BASIC XE 4.1 cart and the compatible Extension disk, completely functioning on ULTIMATE Cart. (I copied all folders with files from ULTIMATE Cart SD card without any changes on them). Using same CAR (4.1) file and totally same Extension file on ATR in SIDE3 fails, like it behaved in SIDE2 OSS, before Eric corrected the code using BASIC testprogram sent to him. 3. Yes, I updated U1MB with U1MB-SIDE3 firmvare also SIDE3 with files, what you put in this Forum last week. If you remember from past, when we had personal communication, I always wrote you with intention to help you, not to disturb you and you appreciated it with words, "I need someone like you, who are testing my software". My intention was never different! I always value your great work! Peter
