  1. I cleaned the cartridge slot thoroughly. I can get this screen to come up once when the system is first turned on but it freezes when I select any game. When I turn the Jaguar off and back on to get rid of this screen it will only give me the red screen or the HQ screen until I wait an hour or so and start over. Could it be a power supply issue or something heating up inside the Jaguar?

  2. I received my GameDrive and can't get it working.

Typically when I first turn it on I get the Retro HQ screen. If I do nothing the "option" feature disappears after a few seconds and the screen stays on just the logo. If I press option it shows that I have the 10.1 version. I have to power off at either point as no buttons have any effect

When I repower after the first time I get the red hollow Jaguar screen.

My Jaguar is working with regular games as shown in pics 3 and 4

Pic 5 is a top view of the slot which I have cleaned with a cart and with a cut to size plastic slider and contact cleaner

Pic six is the card files which came preloaded on the card. I also deleted them and reloaded them from the free download that came with the cart

Twice I have turned on the cart and it came up with a screen that showed these games but I haven't been able to make it happen again. When I selected a game the download box appeared and the screen froze with zero progress

I have not tested the power supply yet and sometime have to wiggle the power cord to get power to the system. I have a 9v 2500ma power supply that I might try if anyone thinks it could be that.

    Any suggestions?

  3. Thank you, not a ton of value. Once the boss gives his stamp of approval(He has a hard time letting things go) I'll slap it on marketplace untested for half of that and let someone find a bargain or a bust.

  4. Cleaning out some work storage. Assuming everything is here and it works what's a ballpark value on this setup? Is it worth taking the time to set it up, take pictures and sell it? And before the question comes up, yes it is used. I assume this was the first computer we had in our office. The printer is an 801 and does not have a box.

  5. I think you should sell the worn system because I need to complete my collection. I have one game(Ruiner) and nothing else. I'm not a box guy nor a mint condition guy but I do have cash. If you can tell me what components you'd be willing to part with I will make you an offer. Also if you have any duplicate games I might be interested.

You’re a good sport. I really think you should test it out before you sell it. Best of luck!

I have no problem doing that. I’ve told potential buyers that I would make a video of everything working before I shipped if that’s what they want. Maybe someone doesn’t want that or wants me to use a different cart? These guys on here crack me up. I’ve never seen a group worry about a $100 item so much. I mean that must be what it’s worth, they’ve told me that a thousand times. I’d love to hear what they tell the guy who wants $2500 for his. How much does that torn box lessen  the value?

  7. It’s very entertaining. I have nothing to lose by swinging for the fences. I’ve taken what I can from people and reworded my ad, upgraded the pics and been as honest as I could about the Gemini. I’m not going to change the category to anything less than open box because to me that’s what it is and it’s my risk at the end of the day.. I’ve received  nice side notes from others who wish me well. I’ve gotten crazy offers from people  who want to me to ship this thing across the world and that just reeks of disaster. I too check this post more often than I should because 14 year old me is enjoying the heck out of collecting. If I owned the 2600, Intellivison and Colecovision back then I would have been the richest kid on the block. I really don’t even want a Jaguar but feel a responsibility to myself to complete the collection. So go ahead, make memes of me, bully me and make stupid little jokes. I’ll laugh it off. To the others who have been nice about it, I thank you.

  8. I do want to represent it for what it is so I added more to the description today and took it in to work to shoot pics in my pic box. People have asked more questions about this piece than they did when I sold my Delorean. I think it’s a great collector piece for a minimal investment. Others obviously disagree but I’ll do what I can to cover my bases. There  are some good people on here with good advice. I put down my Atari in 83 and just got back into it during Covid. I’m having a blast.
