  1. Especially that Snooky wench. Just her name alone and that hoochie kinky face of hers makes me want to throw her off a cliff.Such a hoe. That big stinky looking ass would make good shark chum/bait.Good thing there isn't reality SMELL TV, god the stench that would come out! Same goes for that Khloey Kardashian, now THAT is a huge Jesus smelly looking ass also!!!!
  2. Yep i know exactly what you mean.Master Builder is ridiculously hard, just insane more like it, you just have to do too much.I don't mind challenge, but this is a game where they tried to stuff 10 bags of clothes into 1 bag analogy if you will. The only reason i got it is for collecting purposes and that it was only $1.99.Good game concept though, just doesn't work here, overly ambitious of a game.
  3. Okay, good points made by everyone above. Here's MY own little conclusion on the matter. There is definitely some "Atari product" buried at the site possibly buried with other waste and whether or not a small number or millions of E.T carts along with it? I don't know and "I'M" fine with that. That's not saying i think others who believe the E.T. part are wasting their time insisting or trying to prove it as fact because any more info is a good thing, each to his/her own, and i hope more info is revealed, it's always fun and interesting to read about this stuff anyways, that's what this discussion thread is all about!!!
  4. Probably my PAL Master Builder by SpectraVideo.I found it loose, label is mint condition though. It's so frustratingly difficult to find anything decently rare nowadays.Whenever i do find something i think is rare or special, i look it up and find it's disappointingly common, and that happens %99.9 of the time for me. But that's alright, i can no longer afford to be buying too many games now, priorities have changed for me now where bills and food is more important to save my money for and money for that is already tight.Inflation is getting unreal.
  5. The percentage interested in proving the cartridge landfill is VERY small compared to the rest of the population, realistically the rest of the world couldn't give a RATS ASS.Forget about Myth Busters doing this, that has already been discussed numerous times before in this thread, NOT the type of thing they would do period.Well for example, Myth Busters tried to solve the Jimmy Hoffa where he was buried mystery some argue, so why not the Atari landfill? because the Hoffa thing holds a high interest with the general population. This is something classic gaming buffs would have to do on their own time and expense because no TV show will.Maybe the Atari landfill mystery has never been proven because "we", a relatively small community wait for the media to do it.If the damn site exists and the location known, is it too hard or too much to ask to dig for the evidence?, i mean it's not like this is Ultra Top Secret military Technology or highly poisonous waste or something.I don't understand all the supposed controversy by the media and hush hush attitude, why all the secrecy?, it's just damn game cartridges, or is it something else?
  6. I tried for ColecoVision, which is about %90 complete. The closet i have as a complete collection is for the 7800.It has become too expensive and too much of a burden hunting down the missing games so i don't bother anymore.
  7. H.E.R.O. is a game i recommend to any newbie.I have it for CV and 2600.The 2600 version is a lot more colorful while the CV one has more detail, i like both versions equally. This is one of the very few games that holds my interest so much that i find myself playing for hrs.

I will use ONLY CRT TV'S.I don't have patience for all that new stuff like 3D TV, HD, yadda, yadda, yadda, nothing but a headache. I was told you need an HD receiver along with an HD TV to get true HD TV, yadda, yadda, yadda, and all this other crap, f%%k that. There's still a lot of nice CRT's out there new and used, and they'll be around longer still.I refuse to be seduced by all this crap, CONSTANTLY OPENING THE WALLET. it never ends.I won't put myself in a poor house to have all this new technology.I'll keep my money for more important things like bills and food. And that's how i feel about it, just tired of it.I just think a lot of it is overrated, i don't see whats so great about these new TV's to tell the absolute honest truth.

Perhaps he's referring to the falling out between Steve Bégin and Daniel Bienvenu...? The title screens are different. That's about it. Yeah, that's part of what i meant. The falling out may be personal, i just thought, so it's okay if all the exact reasons are not told. I read something about un-authorization somewhere. This has been answered good enough above, thank you guys!
  11. I just got Penguin Land.I did a search on the game here, and didn't find too much about it and there seems to be a little controversy with the game and Steve Begin, what's that all about?Anyway i love the game, anyone else here play it?, just curious as to what you guys think, Thanx!!
  12. I find the XE gun works fairly well, adjusting the contrast and brightness on TV helps. One thing though, i can't be more then 2-3 away from TV or the XE'S accuracy goes to %0.
  13. Hi Atarigal, i've been using some antique dressers i have in my climate controlled finished basement to store some games. My house is very small too, other than that i just store my games on top of another on whatever shelf i have handy.A lot of my games are in cardboard boxes.I haven't bagged any of them, i should though. If you do bag your games, make SURE you put a little desiccant packet in each bag you put your game(s)in to get rid of any humidity that may accumulate inside.
  14. Hi Atarigal.I love both Alien and Infiltrate, especially Infiltrate. It's a very simple game, but addictive, and hard as heck, lots seem to dislike it though.
  15. To tell the truth, not sure.I TRY to collect everything i don't have, if i don't find it, that's still okay.I don't actually feel the need to have EVERY cart made for every system.I guess i'm a casual collector,if that exists, i buy what i can find without too much effort.
  16. Wanna hear the stupidest thing? i never realized what those recessed areas were for on the back of ColecoVision carts, i simply overlooked that all these years!!!!.Maybe because i've never used or found it necessary to use the overlays.
  17. Congratulations for helping out at the food bank, i do that myself!!!!!!!!!!!If anything, EVERYONE deserves a full stomache.I don't wish hunger on my worst enemy.
  18. Today i found for ColecoVision loose, mint labels: 1 RollOverture 2 Pitstop Nothing to brag about i know, but still happy i found RollOverture!I got them both for $4.50.

Yep, and the lines including the $80.00 one were all very long, always 10 or more people waiting to buy Pac-Man.They had no problems selling them, everywhere they were sold out pretty quick the day Pac-man was released.I remember the hype campaigns stores were doing a month or two before it came out, posters every where. They were handing out Pac-Man stickers to everyone coming off the escalators at this one department store, it was unreal!!!!! Gah there must of been some pretty pissed off kids later on that day when they got home. Maybe not as many as you think. It's been stated before and I'll repeat it but Pac Man was a popular game when it first came out. Yeah, i actually quite liked 2600 Pac-Man, and still do today.

  21. Any good large hardware store like Home Depot has rubber feet off all kinds in the furniture accessory section.I just bought a bunch of the flat rubber ones for my Atari's and my CV's for real cheap.I once cut some round feet out of rubber sheets from a bicycle repair kit, glued 2-3 on top of each other if not thick enough.

    Greedy merchants

I was thinking the other day about back in the very early days when the Atari VCS was at it's peak popularity, there was a shortage of 2600 consoles in stores around where i live, and for some reason weren't able to meet the huge demand. This one store, i don't know if they foresaw this shortage and planned for it, or just had a huge stock, were taking advantage of the situation. They were selling brand new 2600's for, get this....$500.00 CDN!!! each!!!.I remember going to this store which was a small Mom and Pop thing with a friend and telling the guy to basically shove it and i'll wait a little while and get one for half that, which i did.Oh yeah and a store was selling the just released 2600 PAC-MAN for $80.00 CDN taxes in, each!Anyone else here witness shameless greedy merchants charging INSANE prices back in the day?
  23. Lets not feel TOO bad about not being able to afford a VCS back in the day.A VCS(as they were called back then)were just over or under $300.00 CDN, that was serious cash back then.I couldn't afford that, i bought a factory reconditioned one for $199.Anyway i had in my original collection Pitfall 1&2, Ms.Pac-Man, Pac-Man, Frogger, Phoenix, Robot Tank, Sneak n Peek, Jungle Hunt, Coconuts, Atlantis, Cosmic Ark, Riddle of the Sphinx, Demon Attack, Kaboom, Keystone Kapers, Sky Jinx, and a few others.I had pretty much all the ones kids were hyping up at school and just HAD to get which meant alot of Blood Sweat and Tears, working through the summer holidays to buy them all!!!!!
  24. It hurts to think of how many beautiful 2600's like the one you found in the trash haven't been rescued over the years, such a damn shame things like this get trashed. Even if they don't work, the much needed precious PARTS you can get!!!!!
  25. Simple, just get a 2600 console and a bunch of games, the rest of the process will take off from there. Then you'll soon learn why so many and yourself will love the 2600.The simplicity, (most of the games that is) are easy to learn, and mostly addictive as heck.Sure there are the bad games, but what system doesn't have bad games. One can go on and on why the 2600 is so great, like i said, just hook up a console and you'll see.I recommend an actual 2600 console and cartridges if possible, cus NOTHING beats having the original consoles and game cartridges no matter how good or accurate an emulator you may be using. Most emulators i've tried have incorrect game sounds, or missing completely, and other things as well that aren't accurate.Oh, BTW, i don't know what emulators are like now, but the ones i tried awhile back weren't great.Emulation may be the only way future classic gaming fans can enjoy the 2600, so it's a positive thing.
