  1. I tried that command but getting error message. I must be doing something very wrong. What exactly am I doing wrong???
  2. How do I use -z3 to change the resolution to 1024x768x256? Do I use that in command prompt? I just downloaded the latest jzintv and from the help command prompt I do see all 8 different resolutions in Video and Sound Flags: (see below) How do I set it to 1024x768x256? Where do I input -z3 to select that resolution? Do I set that in command prompt? The newer version of jzintv I downloaded doesn't seem to have GUI. Please let me know.
  3. Below is the screen shot of command prompt I ran. Notice for display mode, it only shows 3 types. Someone in reddit said I have old version of jzintv. Could that be the reason? Maybe I should get the newest version? And do I need to download SDL2 builds along with the newest version of jzintv?
  4. How do you customize resolutions in jzintv? I found some info online but just couldn't make sense out of it. I tried running jzintv help in the command prompt but can't seem to go anywhere.
  5. Thanks so much!!!! It's working nice now! ? I changed X & Z in the order so that it's more convenient for me. I don't mean to pester you but now that I got the control issue out of the way, one thing that kind of bothers me is the display option in jzintv. On the display menu (see attachment), if I choose Full screen, the picture is stretched across the whole screen and it looks really awkward. I changed the display resolution on my monitor to see if it will help but it didn't. So I choose 640 x 480 - 256 colors option when playing games but it's just a bit small. I hope they have just a bit bigger display option. My monitor's display resolution is currently set at 1600 x 900. Is there an option in jzintv to have a display size bigger than 640 x 480?
  6. I appreciate your reply. I think I got it (kind of. If not, please correct me). Since I am playing tower of doom and cloudy mountain which are one player only game, I can press F6 to keymap 1 right? My keyboard has the number pad. So pressing F6 will switch to keymap 1? And by doing so, the keyboard buttons for map 1 right controller mapping will move to the left controller? For example, Left Shift - Right controller top action buttons -----> will be for Left controller top action buttons Left Alt - Right controller top action buttons -----> will be for Left controller top action buttons Left Control - Right controller top action buttons -----> will be for Left controller top action buttons
  7. So I created HACKFILE.CFG by copying the contents from the link you provided and added to jzintv. And I do see the file jzintv_doc. It was a bit confusing but I think I can follow. I was playing tower of doom and I used arrow keys to move the character. And I had to press the left shift, alt and ctrl keys to select or drop items. But when I constantly press the shift keys it turns on the sticky key and other unwanted things on my pc. I find that to be quite annoying. How can I change the mapping so that I can use letter buttons on keyboard instead of shift, alt and ctrl.
  8. After much struggle, I can finally open and play intellivision games on jzintv emulator. The problem is I cannot understand which keyboard buttons corresponds to the intellivision controller. Does anyone know how to configure controller in jzintv emulator? I am not using any game controller. I am just using keyboard on my pc as a controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Yeah. I won't really throw it out, out of sheer frustration! If I were to sell it, I'd at least make sure it's working properly though. If not, I will just market my console as "working but needing a repair" so that the buyer will be aware what he/she is getting.
  10. I'm really hoping there is no internal issue. Having to open up the console and fix whatever need to be fixed is beyond my skill or experience as I have never done that before. I don't know where I can get help for repairing consoles. I don't feel comfortable doing it myself by watching youtube. I've already spent money in other components besides the console in hopes of fixing the problem. If there is something wrong with the console itself, I may have to throw the whole thing out and just completely forget about it! It's too much headaches! I guess this is what you get for buying an old, used intellivision console from a stranger. ☹️
  11. It worked real nice on channel 4 for a while. But then the picture quality suddenly became worse than how it was on channel 3. If I try to tighten the cable connection, the picture quality comes back. So I don't know if it's the cable that's causing the issue. Well I ordered new RF cable and RF/coax adaptor so once I get em then I will know for sure.
  12. much appreciated! will definitely purchase it along with new RF cable!
  13. You are my savior!!!!!!!!!!! ???? I just changed to channel 4 and turned on the console and the difference is almost night and day (than channel 3). I never expected that!!!! Now it's looking how it's suppose to look. The screen looks bad in photo but in reality it's much better (certainly better than the CRT TV screen that was set on channel 3 I uploaded previously). Also, my console is connected to TV/Game adapter and both ends (one to the console and one to the TV/Game adapter) of RF cable are shown. They kind of look worn out. I bought a used console from someone. It looks much better in real life. It just looks bad on camera. It's on channel 4.
  14. I hooked up a used Intellivision I bought from someone to my old CRT TV. And the picture quality is poor. I understand the limitation of analog TV when it comes to picture quality but when I turn on the console, the picture quality is fuzzy and blurry. I also used RF to HDMI adapter to hook intellivision to my pc monitor. The picture quality is again, quite poor. It's really lacking the sharpness. Could the RF cable connecting console to TV be the issue? Or could it be the console itself? I'm thinking of getting a new RF cable and try it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The picture quality is much worse in reality. Somehow it looks clear in the photo. Above is how it looks on CRT TV. It's worse!
