  1. So I got a Kaypro 16/2 computer and it boots up to DOS just fine, but the keyboard does nothing. I always get a "check keyboard" message. At first I thought it was the keyboard itself, but now I know that there is something wrong with the keyboard logic on the processor board. It is either that 1. the 74LS322 chip is bad, and that I can buy a replacement or 2. a tantalum capacitor is bad. The capacitors in question are 640 picofarads, which are a weird size and I cant find replacements anywhere. My question is, could I use a 620 or 650pf capacitor instead, or is there another solution?
I found a schematic of the 16/2 which I've attached below.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From what I can gather that floppy drive is a generic IDE/ATAPI drive for PCs... I wonder if you could replace it with an Iomega Zip drive, or maybe hook up an external one to the parallel port.

I'm super jealous of you... I really want that Game Doctor. Loading SNES games from floppy is very intriguing. Maybe I'll get one someday. Have you tried downloading games off the web?

I tried a zip drive and it doesn't link properly.
if you want to get a game copier, you should try to get one of these

they work with both snes and genesis games. There are others like the double pro fighter, but I wouldn't recommend getting one of those because they break easily.

  3. I just bought a Coco 2 (sadly only 16k). I would like to upgrade it to 64k, but I don't want to totally screw up my machine. I would also like to install extended color basic. Are there and tutorials on how I can do this?

  4. I really like the game Castle Master because of its early 3d graphics. It was originally released on the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amiga, Atari ST, and MS-DOS. The C64 and Spectrum versions look pretty simple, so I thought it would be cool to port the C64 or spectrum version to work on a SNES. Is this possible? If so would it require an enhancement chip like the DSP-1 or Super FX chip?
    Thanks

  5. It didn't come with any controllers, but I'm happy that I got an OK deal.
I got one NES to work and the other one might be broken, but I haven't cleaned it yet.
There was another lot in the auction for an Nintendo 64 with 6 official controllers, 5 3rd party controllers and 12 games (11 controllers total)
It sold for a ridiculous price of 250 dollars.
