On 4/16/2021 at 11:43 PM, Reaperman said:On most racing games, I have a 'home track' where I spend well over half my time.
For Gran Turismo, I generally go with Deep Forest, but on my favorite Gran Turismo title, GT4 it was El Capitan all the way. Sadly that track never returned to the series. Beautiful place, I could lap it practically forever and never get sick of looking at it. I managed to find an ancient unlisted vid of me just having a blast around it (link).
Otherwise Virtua racing has 'Big Forest' (which is everybody's 'home track,' I'd wager)
Or SF rush 2049, I stick to Haight about half the time, with weird binges on the Dawn track.
I just played GT4 this week, I am going to go back and play that track. My god that game looks amazing on a CRT.

Had both and sold both.. Kinda sorta regret it, but the Jaguar itself felt so janky and the controller was horrible. The 32X was such a pain to hook up and I think I truly only like Virtual Racing. Kinda random, but i have a complete copy of Corpse Killer for SegaCD 32x that I forgot to include when I sold the lot. If anyone here is looking for that game complete let me know and name a good price.

Test Drive Unlimited - ps2
Sega Arcade Classics - ps2 (this compilation is SO good).
Sonic and Sega all stars racing - wii (this game looks AMAZING on a CRT!) I have this game for PS3 as well and always preferred playing it on PS3 since it's in HD, but I find that the non-HD version on Wii actually looks BETTER when it's on CRT. (i think the frame rate might be low though..)

absolutely lamest generation i've ever experienced.. in innovation, artistry, technicals, and value (sorta). i'm not anti modern gaming at all, but this gen blows.
-
in regards to the PS3, what happens when one's hard drive dies after the server goes down? do you just back these onto an external hard drive? i still have to do that for my ps4, but somewhere in the last few weeks I decided to just not care about it anymore.
-
There is something so incredibly off-putting about the whole mister thing.. I can't place my finger on it though.
-
It should be mandatory in all game descriptions prior to purchase if tutorials are mandatory and how long the tutorials are. I absolutely cannot stand tutorials that you can't skip, especially ones that are slow and irritating, and unnecessarily long. I flat out won't play any games that makes me go thru a tutorial, which seems like way more and more these days.

I was a little bit harsh on these in my previous post.. they don't actually seem that bad based on your description.

Where did u order from btw?
-
Also everything I saw about this release I only remember them saying physical for ps4 and switch.
-
Aw crap, was the physical delayed? Best buy was showing it's still due april 30th. This is for ps4.
-
I just looked again on ebay and the ones for that cheap are mostly loose. But yeah shmups are really expensive.. Is it because of low print runs?
-
Or maybe it comes across as very Ikea.. I don't know, they look cheap and tacky to me and I don't understand the real purpose other than faux nostalgia.
-
The whole package just comes across as YouTuber (not a compliment).
-
Ah, you are right! I was thinking R Type Dimensions on ps3 which is really good. OKay just looked up the first R Type Final for PS2, it's pretty expensive now. Is that one good? I actually found a lot of SHMUPS in that generation to be kind of subpar.

With the folded poster, keep it between two heavy flat pieces of glass or metal in a humid room for a day or so and it should help.
-
folded poster? :/
-
i'm mad the physical is now incomplete. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. definitely won't be supporting this developer on anything they do in the future even though this game is AMAZING.

Have it on preorder from Best Buy. Looks like it comes in a special box with some stuff included for the same price as digital (which personally i think is a total rip off for 50) Can't wait for this!!! The first one on PS3 was awesome.. (i think im thinking of the right one.. you can switch between old school and new graphics on the fly?)
-
The designs are so sterile and generic. Maybe they need cigarette burns or something.
-
I don't have kids, but my me and my dog like playing Street Fighter 2 and other similar games together.
-
What compatibility issues does the small PS2 have?

I regret selling my mini psone with lcd screen too
I do still have an original working one and I do like the design of the original. The big PS2 was ugly and the small one feels really janky and cheap. I didn't get a PS3 until the super slim came out, and that one feels cheap as well, but it does still work.

The whole thing is really slimey. It's basically rich collectors just purchasing off each other. Very few hands, VERY FEW people actually care about this stuff. Major grift.
