  1. He didn't really almost lose his job, but if anyone had taken any initiative to the things they mentioned, there was a good chance. And yes, I know, they were just kidding (so was I).
  2. Anyone remember what happened to the last guy who did this (gamergeek)? Dude almost lost his job.
  3. Hehe, oops. For freebird its more of a matter of whether your fingers can take it.
  4. I was just wondering how many people managed to get through all of guitar hero II on expert. Freebird and all. edit: yes, I have
  5. I'm sorry to have to do this, but I can't follow through on my offer. Xmas gifts were more expensive than I predicted.
  6. F-F-F-F-F-F- Final Fantasty!? *Runs to get emulator*
  7. It's already done better than that. I mean, I think it's gonna make a big beginning, then get thrown in the back of the closet.
  8. I sort of agree with you on that. But because I don't have a grudge against nintendo like you or sega saturn X, I really don't care if nintendo prospers or not. I just think the wii is gonna end up like the eye toy.
  9. This looks like it could have been great with better graphics. I know it's the gameplay that counts and not the graphics, but the only people this game could apply to is the history buffs, and we want it as real as it can get.
  10. Rejoice! Alright.. I'll try to get on a computer as soon after Xmas as possible, so that we can have it done quickly.
  11. Ah, sharpshooter was probably the word I was looking for, when I said "bushwacker". Yes, and I agree that that is definitely the coolest job in the civil war by far. I thought you were talking about sniper as in, someone who had the advantage due to sheer range of weapon.
  12. Yeah, that had a lot of those during the civil war perhaps you do not know that much about the civil war.... there were many snipers on both sides...... Do you mean snipers or bushwackers? The weapons didn't have much of a range back then
  13. The skilled shooter (meaning everyone in the militia) could fire at least three shots in under a minute. So, no, 15-20 seconds isn't fast. Maybe for a hunter, yes, but not for the army.
  14. You wnt me to fork over 120 dollars for a bag of $%&@ing cheetos!? If you would, please. Because then I can go buy a DSLite. Wait, DSlite? :!: What thread are you reading
  15. You wnt me to fork over 120 dollars for a bag of $%&@ing cheetos!?
  16. I honestly don't own missle command, but it looks like I'm too late.
  17. I might be the only one to say this, but I think the wii is stupid. At first I thought it was a great idea, but when it all comes down to it, games will lose the "gameplay" aspect, and just go straight to "innovation" IMO. Now, these are only some of the games, because nintendo isn't overseeing production on all games. Well guess what! I don't give a flying fuck about innovation. Now for my ps3 rant: 1. too expensive 2. same case as wii, but iwth graphics being the destroyer, not innovation 3. just not as lucky as the 360 with it's game line-up, and I don't predict it will be, after the ps2 Now for the 360: At first I thought it was an utter failure, well, actually, for a while I thought it was an utter failure. But then, they got an excellent game line-up. Simple as that. So, in the end, it comes down to either the 360 or the wii. The 360 has an excellent game line-up, and will be aqcuiring the sequal to my favorite games of all time (Halo 3). Then again, it is an extra $100 to play xbox games on the thing. The wii has a feature that could go in the right direction, but probably won't. Another thing about the wii though, is it's ability to play older nintendo games. And finally, the price.
  18. http://www.amazon.com/Konami-24106-Castlev...mp;s=videogames There may only be one, but easy enough Edit: And by the time somebody clicks it, it will probably be gone.
  19. Yeah... I was just being a smart ass. That's in my nature no matter how old I am. I think that would be a good idea if it were the mother's bad discipline. Which, it seems to be... At first. It seems that once she had this kid at a young age, she learned a lesson, and perhaps became somewhat of a good mother... But, by that point it was too late. The mother then tried all sorts of punishments on this kid, and they didn't work. Being a kid and being taken in to therapy is a big thing, and it seems he wants attention. I think the only factor that would decide wether therapy is the way to go would be whether or wether not the kid is the type that bottles up his emotions, or the type that really doesn't care. To tell the truth, the thought of therapy hadn't really crossed my mind until now, and that is a very good point.
  20. I've never posted on these poll of the week threads, and I never will. Damn it!
  21. My 12 year old? I'm 13. That would be pretty odd if I had a twelve year old. What I'm saying is, a stern talking to isn't going to work on this type of kid. They will just say "I'll never do it again" and then do it again. Obviously, taking away this kid's video games isn't going to work, and if he doesn't care about Juvinile hall, then I don't think "time-out" is going to work either. If this were a younger child, then your methods would work perfectly. But by the looks of it, he wasn't given much discipline as a younger child, so it's too late for that.
  22. When I was younger, if I misbehaved, I got my gameboy taken away. That was more than enough to shut me up. Like Jess R said, 15 minutes to a 5 year old is like an hour and a half. But, this kid is not 5 is he. No, he's twelve. All those things therealred5 said seemed to apply to younger kids. Sure, if this kid was five, a stern talking to might work, but he's not. He seems like the cocky-type kid. This problem should have been handled a long time ago, and at this point, I think the only way to induce that is to give him a good spankING. On your other points, though, therealred5, I would have to agree with you. At a younger age of five, a spanking can lead to depression. But, please, this kid is not some little five year old who will be traumatized from a good hard whooping.
