here's what i think, life is mostly crappy. if you find something you like, then enjoy it. If you happen to find that thing when you are 6, well hey, that's just lucky.

for my leisure gaming - it's retro all the way. 1. i'm a busy guy. i need games i can play for a few minutes at a time, the fewer load times, cut scenes and drawn out quests the better. 2. kids, I need tough systems that can take a beating. 3. I want to be able to build a collection without paying $60 a game. or maybe i'm just a creepy, lazy, underdeveloped man-child

Well, it IS a good idea to have a spare atari. and if you're going to get a spare atari it may as well be a 6 switch. and if you're going to get a 6 switch, it may as well be a heavy, and if you're going to get a 6 heavy, you may as well get a nice one. this guy knows what i'm taking about:

Yep, that's my policy too. Although, I did break it three times with the Game Gear, PSP, and 3DS, regrettably. The Game Gear was a dollar at a yard sale so that one didn't hurt so much. But I digress. As long as their advertisement doesn't go something like "Boo-ya! It's the Ouya!" I'll keep an eye on this one. really, no must have's for the GG? - the master gear alone makes it more than worth it. have you played shinobi 2? "buy an Ouya so Nintendo don't screw ya"

If it fits my usually console criterion ( at least 5 must-have games per console), I would get one. I'll be watching this with a ready wallet.

i had a heavy 6 years ago and would love to have another. but i have 3 2600s, all work great so it's not really a priority to get one, especially not at a premium price.
