  1. Rolling Thunder (unlicensed) NES. $2 for shipping. Paypal/USA only.

    Why usa only? :(

It's a case of it not being worth my time or your money to ship it outside the USA. Sorry.

I also found an NES control pad if anyone wants it. It doesn't work, but perhaps someone needs an NES pad for a mod project or something. Same deal as the cart--you pay shipping, and USA/Paypal only.

hi - anybody ever get this?

  2. I have read in several articles, Jack Tramiel has the Sword hanging in his mansion...er sorry, FORTRESS.Ever see a pic of his house?, you'll see what i mean!! :-o

Another myth, they all refer to the same single "source". And that'd be the house he has a lien against.

Best evidence seems to be they were returned to Franklin Mint and melted when the contest ended. At least we know the sword actually did exist.

Why melt it? the sword was worth more intact then melted for scrap. the franklin mint is all about keepsakes, isn't it?

also the franklin still should have original plans somewhere right?

  3.

They used to have their Archer and Realistic store brands, which was good stuff, but now they carry the same stuff that you can get off of Amazon, for less money than Radio Shack. I have a friend who works there. Now, Radio Shack is a glorified cell phone retailer. They seem to make most of their salaries from commissions for selling Sprint/Verizon/AT&T contracts rather than knowing what a diode or resistor is.

I go there, in a pinch, if I don't want to wait for an Amazon order. And I'd rather give RS my money than Wal-Mart.

right, they used to have all kinds of cool stuff, hobby kits, microprocessor kits, their own computer line.

    comic books

    now it's just sad

    lol

And today? Are you still buying stuff from Radioshack?

i walk over there on occasion for nostalgia, but they don't really sell their own goods anymore.

i did find my copy of 'radioshack electronic sea battle' (battleship) in the closet at my parents house-- still works

  5. my parents house was by radioshack when i was a tyke ( store still there)

all our computer/ handheld games/ gadgets came from there.

i had a trs-80 instead of an a commodore r atari and radio shack clock games instead of nintendo game and watches

we had radioshack radios and tvs and read radio shack comics

it was like living in an alternate universe.

  6. the one thing that really broke deadly discs is you can't hit on the rebound.

this would have been a game changer in my opinion. hitting on the rebound was my favorite part of discs of tron. I used to try elaborate shots just to see if i could.

  7. I won't mention that the kid dwarfs the system by relative size comparison, I'll just think it is a neat picture.

Well, if it is a Flashback console, it would be smaller.

so that's what were going with, a flashback 2 with a cart mod?
