Hey, everybody!
Just wanted to say that I've enjoyed the discussion on this topic. I'm 35 now, but remember a good number of cocktail machines at my local arcades during the 80's. I generally enjoyed the upright models more (usually because of glare issues), but it sure was great to be able to set a soda down while you were playing!
What I wanted to add also is that I was really fortunate a couple of months ago to find a WARLORDS cocktail model. This is one instance where I believe the cocktail is superior to the upright because of the 4 player mode. I just had 3 friends over the other night and we played that thing for hours!! Talk about an addictive game!!!
Does anyone know who created and designed Arcade Warlords? I know Carla Meninsky programmed the 2600 version (also a favorite), but I've been unable to find any info on the original developer. I actually e-mailed her a few days ago, and she said she thought it might be Ed Rotberg but she wasn't sure because they were in different divisions. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, there!
I'm new to the forums, so I hope I'm not asking a silly question here. I'm having trouble getting my paddle controllers to work properly with z26. I'm running Windows XP and have tried calibrating them in the actual Microsoft control panel to no avail. I also tried the settings within z26 and had no luck there, either. I would like to use the actual paddles and not the mouse. The joystick games all work great! Am I missing something? Does Stella have better paddle support?
Any help for this "newbie" would sure be appreciated!!
Thanks!!

Hello, everyone!
I hope this is the right forum for this post. Does anyone know who created the arcade version of Warlords? I know Carla Meninsky programmed the 2600 version. I was able to e-mail her and she believed it was Ed Rotberg but she wasn't certain because they were in different divisions. I couldn't find Warlords in any list associated with him.
Any ideas?
Thanks!!
