  1. I have 2 things to say... First, congratulations! ๐Ÿ‘. Maybe there are some delays because of the covid, but i think Zenmarket will be asking for more money soon!. Second... Obviously you haven't been through bidding in an auction for 4 hours after the supposed closing time! ๐Ÿ˜…
  2. Yahoo auctions are horrible because the finishing time keep getting extended each time somebody bid within the last 5 minutes... i hope the auction ended by now and you got the pack! ๐Ÿ˜… About claiming back your money, I know there were like 3 or 4 months to do it with Paypal with no penalty, but Paypal changed some policies regarding that and now the time allowed is a bit more limited (but still it's 1 or 2 months). If they don't say anything about it, it wouldn't surprise me if Zenmarket take that hit.
  3. It's looking great ๐Ÿ‘, it reminds me of R-Type which is always a good thing in my book!. I will be waiting for the next update.
  4. I understand that you don't like paying ahead of time... but it makes sense, imagine that they bid in your behalf without charging anything... and once the auction end, you change your mind, you don't want it any longer, and of course you are not paying for something you don't want... without anyway to enforce your payment, they are in trouble... now, it's not only you it's a few hundred users ๐Ÿ˜…... Goody Japan used to have a multiplier, in that you would deposit 100$ (for example) and they would allow you to bid up to 150 or 200$, but they must have had some bad experiences because i think it's gone or severely more limited. About the deposit, i have used 4 or 5 different companies along the years and they all worked a bit different but in one way or another you are getting it back. In my experience, you can leave any money left to the service to be able to bid the next time or you can just claim it back.
  5. Yeah... ebay can be a bit surreal with some prices ๐Ÿ˜…. I haven't used that service so i don't really have an opinion, but i have heard about them, i think they are official partners with SNK for their online store.
  6. Yep, i copied the link from the wrong tab ๐Ÿ˜“, check the message above yours!. About the middleman service, pretty much in any page of Yahoo Japan there's a banner at the top about a company called "buyee", i have used it a couple of times and it works just fine, but usually (for many years now) i use this service: https://www.goody-japan.com/ What you have to take in consideration is that aside of the item, you will be paying 2 shipping cost (from the seller to the middleman, and then from the middleman to your house which you won't really know until the middleman has the item and can quote you), the middleman fee, and some other not so obvious fees (actually Yahoo Japan charges you for paying by credit card and bank transfers also cost money and you have to pay that extra cost)... and of course custom fees depending of your country. ๐Ÿ˜… Edit: Yes, the second auction is for all the GameBoy games.
  7. Yep... looking for the GB games it surprised me that the NG version was actually cheaper, of course it's a MVS convert, but still... ๐Ÿ˜…. @TanookiOuch ๐Ÿ˜ฃ! My bad, I copied the wrong tab link before! ๐Ÿ˜‘ This is the link for the game complete with box for GameBoy: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c739606650
  8. It seems to be progressing nicely, maybe it's just me but the hit detection looks to be way better than in the previous video.
  9. @Tanooki If you don't mind using a middleman service... Game with the box: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s800639516 A bunch of loose games including MIE: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f348819843
  10. The seller seems trustworthy with a bunch of positives... and the price is sure to go up unless something really unexpected happen. Maybe there is a reserve price in that the winning bid has to be over a certain price to actually win but i haven't seem anything about it in the auction.
  11. Yes, Takara did most of the SNK games for Snes, MegaDrive, GameBoy and Game Gear, the other few by Saurus i think. Some of the conversions were better than others but the 2 Fatal Fury games for MegaDrive are particularly interesting, while the SNES tried to be as close as possible to the NeoGeo (with not so great outcome most of the times), the MegaDrive ones were kind of remixes... for example FF1 has less characters, but those that remained were improved quite a bit over the original with new attacks (as all the characters are playable vs the 3 characters in NeoGeo)... and Fatal Fury 2 have all the characters but most special attacks behave differently so it's a very different experience.
  12. I would love to get that!... but a quick search is telling me i better forget about it ๐Ÿ˜…
  13. For Twinkle Star Sprites, i recomend checking out the Saturn version, it has the problem of muffled voice samples i mentioned before, BUT it has 1 extra character not available anywhere else (that i know), a new anime intro with a song and a second CD with some extras about the characters, illustrations, etc... it's the more complete version. I also recomend checking out Twinkle Star Sprites La Petite Princesse for PS2, it's the continuation of the NeoGeo game (using poligon graphics this time) and pretty good just like the original but it also includes the arcade as an extra.
  14. @Steven Pendleton You might want to check some videos of any SNK game for Dreamcast that you are interested before buying, i don't remember which ones but for whatever reason some of those games have actually worse audio quality than the NeoGeo... if you have played any of the PS1 versions, they sound exactly the same, maybe they have arranged CD quality music but the voice samples and sound effect are way more compressed than the AES/MVS versions. Then again, even if Garou is one of those games affected with poor audio... between paying 3000 yens and 100.000... i'm sure i could live with the muffled audio! ๐Ÿ˜…
  15. It's not that they are among my favorites (mind you i love both games, but there are a bunch i prefer before)... it's a weird feeling that those 2 games (+ Last Resort if possible) are the bare minimum a NeoGeo gamer must have even if you don't like those games ๐Ÿ˜‚, like if they belong together / they should come in a pack... and once you have those, get whatever you want ๐Ÿ˜…. I can't really say why those games and not Samurai Shodown and 8 Man for example. Fantastic news with SNK vs Capcom for NGP releasing for the Switch... i think all the SNK and Capcom VS games are pretty good, but the NGP fighting game is the better one of the bunch if you ask me!. Maybe this too open the door to the SVC Chaos and the Capcom games for modern systems!.
  16. Great video!. Showing the obvious stuff (KOF, Fatal Fury, etc.) and then other not so popular games (Neo Bomberman, Neo Drift Out, King of Monsters...) to show the diversity available for the system. The only "problem" i have is that *for me*, a NeoGeo collection must have at least 2 games, Magician Lord and Blue's Journey... and Blue's Journey is not in the video! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…
  17. Good job and thanks for getting in touch with Marco from 7BlackJack8!. Obviously there isn't enough material to get an idea of the quality of the game, but what we have seen looks reallly promising... similar to Blazing Star. At the very least they did an awesome job with the intro! ๐Ÿ˜…
  18. Yep, i love too the mini AES cases for NeoGeo Pocket; Japanese games also used them at first but i guess SNK decided to cut back the cost and introduced the cardboard boxes.
  19. Shipping now?! Wow... and i thought Pix'n Love was pretty bad with the release dates of their collector editions...
  20. I liked way more the video than the article, aside of showing the games (and more of them) it gives a lot more of information. I'm not sure if anyone is interested in checking the differences between the 2 SNK Heroines Art Books... https://www.neopancho.net/wp_english/2021/01/17/snk-heroines-battle-of-art-books/
  21. The article is a bit generic/not going into too much details but it's great to see some media remember these wonderful games (they should have added Worl Heroes 2 Jet and maybe Toshinden while they were at it) and they come to the same conclusion i have, Takara did an outstanding job. I can say that Samurai Shodown 3 has actual voices for the winning screen of each character and Real Bout Special has (much) improved sound effects when using a Super Game Boy; FF2 and SS1 doesn't have anything special (aside of 2 players and a special frame for FF2) and i don't remember if the other games had anything for SGB aside of 2P.
  22. Samurai Shodown for Game Boy is plainly awesome, it has more fighters (the 12 fighters + Amakusa + Kuroko + Delivery guy), it has illustrations for all the fighters (intro, ending and one or 2 in between), great music, good game play... it might be the better version of them all! ๐Ÿ˜…
  23. Thanks for sharing the update. I have seem in the comments in youtube that there might be a CD version, that would be really nice!.
  24. The situation here during the 16 bits were a bit weird about importing games, now that i think about it... it was somewhat easy (but very expensive) to get American and Japanese games for SNES... eventually there were also MegaDrive games, but... 8 bit (NES, GameBoy, etc.) games? Nope. I'm not saying that there weren't any shop in Spain selling these games, of course i'm sure there were, but none i were aware... so sadly, i missed FF2 for GB, but thankfully Samurai Shodown was released and i got it. I remember organizing Samurai Shodown tournaments with my friends by using the Super Game Boy (which allow for 2 players with 1 cartridge) ! ๐Ÿ˜‚
